I have to admit. That's an awesome little easter egg in uncharted 4 for crash bandicoot. I think one of my favourite easter eggs with regards to a game being in a game is playing the first level of gradius in legend of the mystical ninja for the snes.
It's not an Easter egg....Easter eggs are hidden hence the name "easter egg" The crash bandicoot game play is apart of the misssion, not a hidden thing
While you probably know this by now, what makes this more interesting is that this entire level is below the map and is the first time a crash level has been able to be fully rendered at once.

Bro, I was casually listening to the vid while doing my own thing, and upon hearing Timesplitters 2's theme play, I looked and saw it and freaked out. TS2 is one of my biggest childhood games way back when, it surprised me when I saw it. Glad they included it! Wish many more people knew about the series. But THQ Nordic has the rights for the series now and they somewhat have plans to revive the series, just we don't know when they may consider it.
3 more for the list. Black ops on xbox: you can break free of your bonds in the start screen by mashing the triggers. Then access a computer behind you for 2 hidden games. One is a top down Zombie shooter and the other is the original Zork text based adventure. The third was back in the day on PC in a game called Tyrian. If you beat the game you get a code for a new ship. Beat it again with the new ship and get yet another ship code. This pattern continues until a code gives you access to a completely different game.
Probably one of the best hidden games in a game I found was Death Tanks on Duke Nukem 3d for the Sega Saturn. It was a 7 player game similar to Worms or Scorched Earth but instead of taking turns to shoot, you could shoot all at once. Two ways to unlock it, the first was you had to destroy every toilet in Duke Nukem 3d or if you bought a copy of Quake for the Saturn, you had to have a saved game on the hard drive from each game in order to unlock it. Look it up, one of the best party games ever made!
I was born in 92, so i was a kid during a time when mortal kombat 2 and 3, doom 2, discworld, zork, kings quest, grim fandango, escape from monkey island, donkey Kong country, nights into dreams, bug, Mr bonez, city of moons, D, clockwork knights, oddworld, tomba, revolution x, virtua cop, area 51, Daytona usa, metal slug, etc. It was an era when the internet wasn't in every house, arcades still rocked and you learned about secrets by either exploring, word of mouth, or special events. It was awesome to learn about such secrets and then run to school to tell everyone Many assumed it was a joke or lie. You could ONLY prove yourself in person, as cellphones ,were a long way away from the razr phone at this point.. I remember finding the "kron hunter" nose in area 51.. Was great, as it was the only true way of beating the game. Revolution x was REALLY hard to bear (for me), no matter how many bullets and flaming CDs i used.. Myst.. ruled my life when i got a Sega Saturn at 6 years of age. So many secrets in all those great classics.. Not just Easter eggs, but secret ways to beat the game for the TRUE ending.. *when I got reptile in mk 1 to the shock of my friends, and found out he was a mix of subzero and scorpion. Sigh.. The Spyro and Crash games all had demo versions of each other available with a secret code. Crash Bash is actually hidden in its entirety in Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon through the use of another code after accessing the demo.

THIS needs a part 2, there are SO many more games hidden inside games. Off the top of my head, there are the ones in Call of Duty Black Ops II, then there are the 20 midway games in Lego Dimensions if you have the Midway Arcade lego set. which is amazing.

Weird that you included the Pac-Man stage in Wolfenstein and the Doom bits in Rage, yet for some reason skipped over the two Wolfenstein Levels in Doom II in which are pretty much 1 to 1 replicas of the original Wolfenstein maps, including enemies, secret walls, etc.

Yep! Tried it myself on Subsistence when it originally came out but could never get it to work. In fact, the save file that has the minigame active will have red flowers in the PS2's memory browser as opposed to the white flowers. I still have my old original copy and that save file backed up
MK Shaolin Monks allows you to play MK2 if you either: 1. Use a cheat code 2. Do Smoke's Missions Or at least for the NTSC version. The PAL version doesn't get that.
In the SNES game Beavis and Butthead when your in the mall map you pass a couple arcade systems you can play two player games on, one is called Butt Fighter and is a street fighter styled game while the other is called Spacerdid, I cant remember the game its based on I feel like its from the commodore era but its basically a box in the middle of the screen where the score is displayed and you fly around the box with another player trying to shoot each other.

Btw, the Guy Savage game was only on the original version of MGS3. Subsistence and all later versions, including HD, do not include the secret.

You missed CoD: Black Ops, they had a few hidden games, Blops1 had a text adventure game, I think it was called Zork? They also had Dead Ops arcade which is basically like smash TV on Snes. But black ops 3 also had heaps of atari games on nuketown if you do the easter egg there

Timesplitters 2 had an Easter Egg game in it, if you used the temporal uplink, there was a game of Snake on it IIRC

I can remember when I was a child I was completely stunned when my Crash Bandicoot game for gba (can't remeber the name of this particular game) instead of Crash other game poped out. It was with Spyro and it was "click the button showed when its symbol is in a circle" type of game. It was weird. And to this day I have no idea why and how it loaded
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Nuketown map. You shoot the heads off of all of the maniquins in under a minute and then go to the big TV screen in front of one of the houses and you can play a few retro video games

It's so sad what happened to Free Radical. Time Splitters 2 was beautiful and coincidentally, included some fantastic Easter Egg arcade games.
