It's turret however was steel and was of the same thickness to keep weight down and not make it top heavy in water. It was built that way so that it could be air dropped into jungle terrain and to be able to float when traversing narrow river waters. The only "Spaced armor" it has is the flat hollow sides of the upper hull and contains a foam filling to add to its buoyancy. It does not have a flat space armor rear, the model in WG does and is not historically accurate. This thing could easily have been penetrated by larger caliber small arms fire. A .50 Cal would have shredded this thing. I know because I worked around these things extensively while stationed @ Ft Irwin in CA (OPFOR baby!). We "dressed" them up with fiberglass shells to look like Russian t-55's and BMP's among other things and used them to train our forces to fight dessert combat scenarios. There was a laser sensor system setup around its perimeter for military grade laser tag. As you well know, we did our job well.
First time here, nice tips bro. 4:35 - Stop the video, look map: El Halluf tip for south team: go with your LT in the bush close to stone, behind building (located at the division between F5 and F6 map position - most precise F6 top left corner). It's risk but if you have good camo and be fast enough you can have a good spot position, but if enemies spot you first, don't try it. PS.: don't need to destroy building, it's crazy, but worth it, I don't know how hahahaha

Steve, could you do a video demonstrating a few things for me please? 1. The best tanks to use to get through the gap on Abbey if you spawn North and how to do it without getting stuck. 2. Where should you go on Cliff if you spawn North to try and violate tanks going on the hill, but are getting shot at from F3? 3. What's the power/weight ratio needed to "yeet" up the hill on El Halluf at H7/J7?
cliff is pretty balanced since the hill go straigh up for the south and that place is the counter, in the other hand the north goes back in diagonal to go up and leave you open to easy shots from people sitting at H2 and J5 right off the spawn
Hey Steve I love the quality of the video and I found a lot of the positions you mentioned very helpful! My only disagreement with you is the topic of Cliff being imbalanced. I understand that the hill is balanced to favour the north spawn, but there is a position you didn't cover in that portion of the video that I think is a very important position to cover when discussing the meta of the map. From the southern spawn, a hasty rush down the 8 line into around C or D8 can have devastating effects on the north spawn's ability to take the east of the map. All it takes to make the position work is timing your pokes well and not overexposing yourself to enemy TDs in the back. Here is a replay of me demonstrating said position for you. Note this is in a random battle and our team turned out to be a lot better than the enemy team, so just bear that in mind. My description on the replay explains why the enemies were bad and why the results of the game were the way they were. Again, it is more to do with positioning and understanding the meta of Cliff. So Steve the Sheridan does have space armor in the back! The exterior backside has 3mm, and the engine shield has 12mm! Hope this helps! The HE Splash damages the armor on the engine!

Which means 1mm of spaced armor will stop a HESH/HE shell with 999 pen every... single... time ;) But I actually never thought about this in the context of anti headless chicken wheelies! That must so satisfying to get shot by them agin and again with HE for like... 100 or smth :D
Sheridan has spaced armor all around. Also the ass underneath the spaced armor is angled, so there are places on the sheridan ass where you cant pen it at all, even with AP. Even when you are shooting straight into flat ass, you can bounce or do nothing.

As a WoT Blitz player. (Where Sheridan's are OP and you meet them every game) For my knowledge, the only place where there isn't spaced armor is the turret and the lower plates(front and rear).
On El Halouf, you can now go up that steep hill from the SW spawn (so your attack is protected). It’s only possible in a EBR 90/105 tho (well haven’t seen any other tank make it).
4:58 You can actually go up here with ebr 100% but idk if u can go there with other tanks. First u have to like hit the bush at the left with a little pice of your tank and the while driwing in turn right to get into the upper bush then u just have tu go up. It's actually really easy mate
Steve... I've just checked the armour profile of the Sheridan. It's.... half of the tank... is not there... also half it's ass (the sides) is just spaced, no model underneath.

idk if the sheridan tent thing was a joke or not but its not the tent its the 4mm of spaced armor that the sheridan has all across the upper hull which can be distinguished by the screws all over it

On airfield with an ebr 105 you can boost up to either sides med/td platform from the rock ramps in the middle road to get early spots and kill arty

Yeah, seems to be the only tank you can do it in.
Unless recent updates have changed it, Lynx 6x6 also works (much more difficult than EBR 105 though)

Nice tips. The only one I've used was highway, although I've had others troll me with some of the others such as Erlenberg and Abbey.
the sheridan is like that in blitz, actual hit box is tiny compared to the visual size
Isn't there a big box of spaced armor at the back of the Sheridan? The entire back of the tank is just empty space I think, not sure on that one.

Around 5 mins the path going north you did with the t100 lt can be done in a ebr 105 easily so its not 100% impossible
