Usually I'm not a fan of live edge turnings, but this looks great. I always enjoy it when you show some of the simpler projects that don't require a lot of time or money to make.

Thanks for the kind words Jim. Not only does this one not require much time or money, but it also requires very little turning skill. It's a great beginner turning project with some pretty striking results. Thanks for tuning in sir.

Kenny, when you first showed that burl I thought it looked a lot like a rock.....well until you exposed the inside. After a little lathe work it was like a miracle. Nice nice piece. Such a simple project yet such amazing results. Great idea my friend.

Thanks for the kind words on the show and the project Paul. You never know what you are going to find in a burl and I guess I got lucky on this one. Thanks for tuning in.

Thanks for this - simple but effective and adaptable! I am going to try it with log slices an gluing small pine cones on the base for some Christmas baubles I have made for friends.

If I'm the nut you are referring to Frank, I will take that as a compliment. LOL. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

I was wondering how you were polishing your saw and things. I have used fine sand paper but never gotten good results. I'll try the autosol. Bill

I have found Autosol to be a great product Bill. It also works really well on the soles of hand planes and that sort of thing. I love this product. Thanks for tuning in.
