Wow but when am practicing scales i find it difficult to master speed should i first play one key until i master speed in contrary motion

Ah well I wouldn’t just play one scale. I recommend using a scale book series and gradually work through each level. The scale books I listed in the description build on concepts and are organized by the circle of 5ths. Happy practicing!

Chopin revolutionary is my go to for warming my left hand till today :) also thanks for the hanon tip... I hardly play left hand separate on any of his exercises and when I do the weakness in that hand is clear! So yes I will take that as a note and do more left on the hanon exercises.

Well Hanon isn’t as fun as Chopin Revolutionary! Thanks for commenting 🥰

@BRILLANTEPianoLessons thank you very much, excellent tips, as a humbly speaking self taught pianist myself, this advice is very much appreciated, in the Mozart 3rd movement of the sonata f major k332 I recently taught myself, there is a section that involves the left hand, I do find that by exercising the left hand before I play my pieces does strengthen the wrists, I also noticed a great suggestion with regard to the 1st movement k545, I love playing sonata c major, and your tip for the wrists using a rocking motion is so good, I will definitely put this into practise the next time I play my digital piano, also just to ask, do you have any tips on the k309 Mozart I am now learning myself to play, I can play the 1st movement though a little patchy and I even managed to go through the 3rd movement a little, if you are able to give me a few tips that would be most appreciated, many thanks for all your videos, most helpfull, greetings from wales uk 😀

Mozart K 309 is a great sonata and it's so amazing that you're playing it as a self-taught pianist. We plan to put some full Mozart piano lessons on our channel soon. It's definitely a unique style. We do have a video about general Mozart tips that should help you here: th-cam.com/video/DZypRVtTX0Q/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AaWDpw-a2WNW0WS1

@BRILLANTEPianoLessons thank you very much for the link, very helpfull, I've saved this video to my you tube library, Mozart does indeed have a unique style, I love what you said about creating a story in the pieces, I find when I play k332 1st movement it is a fabulous way of doing that, for instance you have a varied amount of dynamics and style, from the alberti bass in the left hand at the start, yo the minuet movement, that leads to the sturm and drang, and of course the fabulous melody in the middle which I think correct me if iam wrong is the circle of fifths and the chords after, this in itself tells a story, and also your mention of using the pedal, I've been playing the 3rd movement of the k332 without pedal, so i need to not be afraid to use a bit of pedal in this movement of the sonata, the beautifull adagio 2nd movement sounds amazing with the pedal, I also use pedal in the k331 sonata too, so I am definitely going to put all these tips into practise, many thanks for all these tips most appreciated, all the best to yourself and mother, from wales uk 😀

I've been using Hanon and Biehl, trying to keep the tempo slow, and paying attention to musicality. I use the Brown Scale Book to remind myself of tricky fingering (to me, anyway) during scale runs up and down the keyboard. Thank you for your tips on left hand strength. I certainly need them!

It’s great that you’re practicing scales and exercises! I recommend pushing yourself on the speed with these exercises books (speed comes with practice and time). But always play at a tempo that you can play even and keep your hands exactly together. Thanks for your comment!
