As a fellow neurodivergent i can fully agree with Elon Musk. Too few sleep makes you inefficient and is counterproductive. To be mentally stable i found that i also need 6.5-7 hours of sleep. When i sleep too few i can be mentally very tired. When i sleep too much, im feeling "sleep drunk" and too lazy.

I was studying for a calculus test with my friend a quarter or two ago and it was around 11:00 (test was the next day). Nothing was making any sense. I went to bed, woke up a little earlier, and boom: I could understand it.

Rest is very different than sleep, sleep has detoxifying and recovery effect for our body, while rest doesn't have that luxury
That's what I find too. When I get tired in the day time, if I can get a short nap I will get more accomplished longer and make more progress.
