As someone who played Minecraft back in the day (and still do) I love these! I used to come home from school and my friends would come over and play on my ps3-ps4. This kind of makes me sad because of all the memories but thanks for the packs! The only thing missing now is my old friends...
hey you play the console version? i reccomend using legacy4j its great and fun! tutorial worlds and etc it can also support multiplayer legacy4j is console version mod for java [fabric]!
All of these mods are great, but the old terrain generation mod I prefer the most is Modern Beta. It adds the old terrain generation engines back into the game and it even has support for old seeds from versions such as Beta and Alpha. It also includes options to generate terrain from Alpha, Indev, Infdev, Classic, and even Pocket Edition.
I'm glad that it's now possible to almost completely recreate the 1.7.3 beta, while keeping content from the newer versions, playing on modern software while modifying the game as subtly as is possible and available today. Hopefully more and more mods and features will give us opportunities for better results. Still waiting for a mod for the old AI on mobs and the old graphics rendering.
Agreed, my go-to way of playing minecraft these days is "Neo-Infdev" which uses moderner beta and nostalgic tweaks to make it seem like minecraft's most modern features were added to the oldest infinite generation version of the game.
there's one big problem with cascades 1. Superflat worlds don't work 2. If you play any world with the cascades mod on, and you delete the mod, you can't play the world ever again...
the fog is insane, looking at it side to side, the old fog just looks better objectively, like not even nostalgia, you can see further and the ambience is better, especially in the new caves.

My jaw dropped at the water cave you can boat through omg this is the kind of terrain additions that should be added to the game in random updates

Ya, but it doesn’t hybridize the classic and modern world gens, wish it had that option
@@lina4469it does! From what I've seen, you can have old generations and new cave systems. Did you try it?
Man this bring old memory back ❤
Since the recent resurgence of videos on oldschool Minecraft I've been lookin for mods like these, great timing!

endermen isn't a a new coat of paint given an old style, they did actually used to have green eyes

I agree but all I’m gonna say is, that’s two problems lol
@@c00lhandluke81 i mean... those where the 2 only problems i had/found
The 2nd is true for literally any mod
the 2nd one is pretty obvious u need the mod for it work duh
HOW DOES THIS VIDEO ONLY HAVE 700 VIEWS???
All we need is a mod that replicates Beta lighting now. Nostalgic Tweaks has a setting like that but it doesn't look quite right
It looks extremely similar, although nights are still less dark than beta
Really beautiful video as always, thanks for letting me know about these mods!
The old graphics and aesthetics are simply better.

yooo you have the seed of the world you played at the end? because i think that world gen is cool asf
