This is a band of happy, humble musical geniuses. I've seen this band many times [but not enough times] since the year they released Mammoth Waltz, and they just keep getting better. Louis Michot is the band's main creative driving force, and his brother Andre is a brilliant multi instrumentalist, Jonny Campos wails on guitar and the rest of the band really rocks. The band makes new friends and enjoys old friends at all their shows, I've had a chance to talk with many of them at different shows since the first time I saw them. My favorite place to see them is on the Fai-Do-Do Stage at the New Orleans Jazzfest; it's always a special show. I love this set because it's longer than their standard festival set, and they really take off.

I've done Jazzfest over 15 times. It's a highlight of any year. Try very hard to come down. Beautiful weather. Hundreds of great music artists and the best food you'll ever eat. You'll never regret it!
