I have a 535i and I have my catless downpipes. I’ve been trying to come to you guys for the last 2 weeks but with school and my car getting maintenanced at BMW I had no time. And now that school started again I either have to be absent to come or leave school early. Damn I wish you guys were open on weekends, cuz I know what I could do with my car if I were to come
Thanks for the information on the dyno I have been trying to find out. I just got a F10 535i xdrive and looking to get a base dyno done before upgrading and getting a tune and show the results.
The term you're looking for isn't burble it's over run. Most bmws you can do this your self by just flicking the exhaust on a downshift. I prefer it to be less banging and more of a gurgle for a sec on a down shift to give the exhaust some extra character
I know this is an N63TU2, so it only has like 13 more Hp than the N63TU from factory. Watching this video, I feel, makes it safe to assume an N63TU would make 545-555AWHP and 565-575AWTQ. Can’t wait to get tuned and really feel the difference.
@@busterscrugs I have actually gotten a tune 93 OTS tune already but it may have been too aggressive for my motor. my car (N63TU) has ARM Motorsports intakes and downpipes. I have the updated Bosh HPFPs and MAF sensors. New Bosch ignition coils. NGK 1 Step colder spark plugs. Sport oil cooler valve. Low temp thermostat. Also only 320ish miles since my last oil change that gets done every 3500-5500 miles wit Liqui Moly 5W-40 fluorescent oil. Basically I think in the previous tune, the boost came on too hard, curve wasn’t linear, and the fueling wasn’t enough for the tune. Like I think the tune was geared more for an E30 car as opposed to 93. It Caused my injector shut down on cyl 3. I Reverted back to stock, not one single hiccup once back to stock (for 2 months now), so I know my injector wasnt the problem. I’m currently being retuned by Heatsync Euro Tunes (Heatsync Beta) at the moment. I explained everything to them, they deduced that the tune was the issue bc my car has literally 0 issues when on the stock tune. So now I’m looking at between 515-525AWHP. Sorry for the long winded answer lol
what happens when your back in comfort plus mode? does it maintain the comfort suspension setting and ride quality if everything is stock except for the ecu mods and exhaust?
The actual measured stock horse power and torque for the m550i is 540 hp and 595 torque. This was measured by Dinan and can be found on their website. You need to measure the stock numbers instead of going by what bmw says. Every bmw enthusiast knows bmw always understated every bmw’s hp/torque.
Those are "crank" hp numbers. I doubt they pulled the motor and dyno'ed it. Often companies will dyno a car on a chassis dyno then use a gustimated correction factor... We will stick with our WHP number.
@@Haroon2301 When does an automobile manufacturer state anything other than crank numbers? I have tuned several of my vehicles and I never knew what the wheel horsepower was unless I had it dyno'd.
Yes it is if you want to keep your warranty you can’t do catless downpipes or any aftermarket tunes or parts to the engine. The easiest way to keep warranty is to just get a cai or a dinan tune. It won’t be the craziest mods but at least you can get a little more out of your car and keep your warranty.
Makes me trade in my 6 series for an m550, but i heard they will do a facelift in and out on the 2020 ones + more hp from the factory. Thhaaaats whats holding me from doing it...

What's sad is not being able to get this in the US in a touring model/wagon so I'm stuck with my M550 sedan. SUVs are lame and Americans love them to death but they serve no real purpose for 99% of the owners. Wagons make more sense, alas I'm in the land of wagon haters.
@@Dggdsfbh I graduated from Harvard with my PhD. Unfortunately I was hit by a soccer mom in her SUV in the mall parking lot and now I can't think straight. JK! Ok, my comment was a bit off but most of my friends that drive SUVs like them because of the room and they like to sit up higher. Silly IMHO but hey we are entitled to have one right, opinion that is. I lived in Germany where high speed motoring is a thing, smaller parking spaces are common and gas in almost $6 a gallon. As such gas hungry SUVs are rare. Most SUVs never go off road so the extra clearance isn't really used. No huge benefit over a wagon for the most part. My two cents. Happy holidays!
Not a "cow" perse, you seem to miss the point that this is more of a luxury vehicle and weight helps make the ride feel smoother and quieter, cause noise insulation makes it heavier too
