Question: What club has had more of their athletes test positive for PED's?
    Bowerman or NOP

The fact that nike defended Alberto makes me not want to support them anymore. Mo Farah and Rupp probably cheated and got away with it.

@@brownmamba6538 I wouldn't be surprised. They have a book out that gives the testimony of a bunch of people close to NOP and it feels like they have everything but a failed drug test on NOP.

I never really followed him closely as a coach, though watching Mo and in Galen in the 2016 Olympics was riveting and I remember him coaching Galen to break the indoor 2 mile American record but what was more crzy was galen's work out directly "after" the race. (th-cam.com/video/P2da7ETunf4/w-d-xo.html) That was insane! But I remember Alberto more as a runner in the 80's, he'd run so hard that he almost killed himself. He would push himself to the limit like he did at Boston. Bill Rogers was the king of the roads back then but to see Alberto beat him in the his first marathon at the NY City marathon was incredible. And to see him try and fail at the 1984 Olympics where his body really turned on him, was heartbreaking. I loved Alberto. I actually met him once at the 1993 Twin Cities marathon, my first marathon, and he signed an autograph for me (this was before cell phones and selfies at least for me). He was just so sweet, and nice when I asked for his autograph, incredibly cute back then. I know what he did to Mary Cain and it's so sad. But my memories of Alberto will always be of one of the toughest athletes of my generation. Not all great athletes esp the ones who push themselves to the limit are meant to coach. I couldn't imagine Michael Jordan as a coach. That would have been a disaster. Most great, great coaches are also "teachers of a sport" and many were mediocre athletes themselves.

I’m not entirely sure why Flo Track would go after other track and field entities/shows. Certainly would make sense that you would try to work it out. This isn’t a large community (least as far as professional sports go). So how do you suppose this will turn out?

Flotrack do you understand the power of social media and the ability for the massive to form a movement to boycott sponsors? Its powerful. If I record my son running in an AAU track meet and you come after me for posting it. You want be able to stop the movement against your sponsors.

Agreed, typical media control BS. Someone needs to regulate these fools.

@FloTrack do not use my son's likeness in an AAU track meet or I will sue you.

Just putting this out there; Sifan Hassan chose to join the NOP during the USADA investigation and after everything became public. That is a blemish on her and raises questions. She also did an interview with the BBC at 2019 World Champs where she thought that winning would clear her name, as if winning would rule out any question of doping!! Also Mo Farah trained with him and consistently defended Salazar during the investigation, so as far as I'm concerned, his results are questionable as well. I think the internet is so powerful now, that anyone that choses to work with him is both stupid and will be shunned by those that want clean sport. I'd also add, that in my opinion, the Nike sponsored programme was worse than anything they claim Russia did.

  • @Shevock

Who's going to want to be coached by him? Maybe Cole Hocker. Basically anybody who has signed with Nike during this Nike doping era who isn't sure they can take the next step without artificial enhancement.

I wonder how many unfollowed this channel today due to the shenanigans trying to control Rae's take? It's light work if this channel lost followers; the real work is to have all or most of the professional athletes with speed to make Flo Track pay them to advertise their performances or don't show up to their meets. Pro track athletes make shit money and train like race horses in hopes of getting a major sponsorship. I have a feeling you guys are NOT sharing your proceeds with any of the track athletes. You guys should not have gone after Rae's take; you opened pandora's box and shedded light on how POORLY track athletes are paid and how media takes advantage of them.

Deserved four years for how he treated Mary Cain. The rest is just a fit up. WADA and CAS are out of control.

Mary Cain could have gone to another coach, organization or run unattached. Ben True did just that after learning Nike wasn't for him. He trained alone and thrived.
