Still miss the Cathedral Quartet, but thank heavens Ernie continued after the time was passed. No one can replace Younce and Payne, but EHSS is solid and honors their sound.

Absolutely wonderful. Tim Duncan sounds to me just like George Younce so how lucky I am to hear him sing. Their voices are one of a kind and just terrific! Thanks Ernie for keeping the songs so beautiful and spiritually exciting. Your voice still great just as when you were with the Cathedrals!
One of my favorite songs of all time sung by George Younce and the Cathedrals. But, Tim Duncan has done as good a job with the songs as George and George was one of the best there was. Now Tim Duncan ranks up there too. This songs proves it. Great job, great video. Ernie Haase and Signature Sound are awesome too.

Hi from Down Under in Oz. The bass singer is Tim Duncan and I could listen to him hitting those notes all day and all night. Be great if he could keep recording some of the "rockier" songs rather than focusing on ballads. The other guys are also great. Can't beat a bass-man, though. I believe I've even read that George wasn't known to hit some of the deeper notes, but had a very rich and tonal timbre to his voice. That is not uncommon but to me a true bass singer would be, JD Summer, Jim Wetherinton, Richard Sterban Etc...

That is one clear and pure low bass voice! Don't think I've ever heard such a resonant voice! And Tim Duncan's not even a particularly large guy. It's all in the throat, I guess.
If resonance is what you like, you'll like the voice of Thrul Ravenscroft too.
It’s more so in the chest, believe it or not, the chest produces the sound, and the throat makes resonance and bass rumbles.
@@Anandhprasanth87 Guess what, the guy who sang the original' this ole house' is none other than Thurl ravenscroft.
Deepness or highness of voice tone is from the esophagus. The shorter the lower I think I remember correctly, and the longer the higher or visa versa

I'm certainly not taking anything away from George Younce, but I always felt he was more of a true baritone and a falsetto bass singer. I believe I've even read that George wasn't known to hit some of the deeper notes, but had a very rich and tonal timbre to his voice. That is not uncommon but to me a true bass singer would be, JD Summer, Jim Wetherinton, Richard Sterban Etc...
