Thanks, that video covers all I wanted to know. Why does Porsche use two pumps? The outer pump is potential enough to support the good old Audi 100 engine. I use same fuel pump in my Audi 90 Type 81 / Typ 89 with 5 cyl. 136PS. So what the hell! What´s the use case for that second pump. Especially the pump is extremely expensive to buy.
why do they have x fuel pumps? one pushes? one pulls? or one is for the demands of a lot of fuel when the turbo is on full boost? I ask as my series 2 is not running well- i.e it will only tick over and if you drive it it kanagros badly- goes no place
Hello, I would like to know if the car works only using the fuel pump outside the tank. Thank you, nice video😊
Yes it did!
@@briansprojects oh God thank you I'm so grateful with u, the only in-tank fuel pump I found was 600€. Thank you so much
👍 I also own a 1980 924 turbo they're great cars I know I love mine she's 42 years old and still a beauty 😁

Do you happen to know if all 924's have dual fuel pumps. Im looking at a 79' and it sounds like it has bad fuel pump but could it be the in tank one?
No, they do not. I believe it was 1979 or 1980 when Porsche added the second pump in there.
I don't know for sure, sorry :(

What happened to the red 924
The fuel tank had a bad leak and the chassis had too much rust for me to work with so I had to get rid of it.
