    Thanks for the video! I'm about to move to Melbourne and this video is very helpful. I will be studying at Unimelb, do you have any opinions about living in Carlton or Carlton North?

    • @rachelandnick
      @rachelandnick  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd have delicious pizza options there haha as there are so many Italian restaurants, Carlton is a great area! It's close to the city and safe but It's a little bit expensive suburb.

    • @Sergio-Rodriguez
      @Sergio-Rodriguez 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the response! That explains why you didn't include it in the video. Is it more expensive than Albert Park? Is it easy to find student housing there?

    • @rachelandnick
      @rachelandnick  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Albert Park is more expensive but we just personally don't prefer Carlton but I know a lot of students live there. As we both are not students, we are not sure if it's easy but I assume so -R

    East Melbourne. It is literally right next to downtown, and is cheaper than Fitzroy, Collingwood, Richmond, etc. You can get a 1-bedroom apartment for 320-380 a week, and be within walking distance to the Fitzroy Gardens and CBD.

    These places are not affordable, they are only considered affordable if you’re either a millionaire, or want to rent in a shoe box. Have you tried branching out of the inner suburbs and seen what you can get for the same price?

    • @rachelandnick
      @rachelandnick  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Personally I don't think Brooklyn has much happening. It's a bit industrial with factories and public transport not so good there. If I was going to live somewhere near that area I would try and live in Seddon, Yarraville or some parts of West Footscray.

    It’s not which suburb is the best. You also have to think if it’s affordable. You know some people aren’t rich and basically average.
    My opinion on best,affordable and safe suburbs
    1.Tarneit (Close to city and transport is close)
    2.Woodlea ( If you like somewhere rural but not too far to the city as well)
    3.Hillside/Fraser Rise (If you like new and affordable houses/ 23 km from the city and many parks)
