Love how you have both era bikes that puts a smile on my face , haro pro was the dream bike when I started as a kid , lucky enough 2 decades later I got one , couldn’t help myself rode the hell out of it …….damn good bike
Working on rebuilding my 2000 Flair I had as a kid. I've had the frame all along. Just had it powder coated and working on tracking down the last few pieces, but I got it on wheels for the first time in 17-18 years the other day and its pretty surreal to see. Glad to see other people still appreciate these bikes. I get why new ones are the way they are but they just don't look anywhere near as cool.

When I was in high school I was lucky enough to get an all access pass to dew tour because of a mutual friend. I had the opportunity to have lunch with Dave mirra, catfish and Morgan wade. Dave was a genuine human and I found it hard to get my questions in because he took a personal interest in me. He asked was genuinely curious about my life and my prospective on bmx as a young rider. He was engaged with me when we talked and I’ll always appreciate him for that. Many of todays pros are arrogant and entitled- notoriety has become currency and this younger generation just don’t get it.
I like that they name the bikes after tricks it’s pretty dope should bring that back
That’s a nice bike. I have a Haro Backtrail x1 that I’m currently building up with some modern parts. Cool bike builds are always entertaining.

Just acquired an 02 Flair it came with Mirra Bars in chrome Odyssey Modulevers
Big Block stem Mega fork Alex Supra's for rims Small Block pedals Mirra glitter seat
in Great condish and nuke sprocket the only thing i had to add was the new lineage
fusion pegs it only came with 2 of the Mega tube fusion pegs the guy had it powder
coated in Kawasaki Green the bike looks great My first Mirra i never owned one back
in the day so i hopped on this really quick !

I had the blammo series and a couple of the Mirra pro man I wished I still had them, my blammo weight 45lbs it was a tank and the mirra pro weight a little less but I didn’t have all the parts on it I had on the blammo, good stuff man

What size frame on the new Dave Mirra bike ?
I figure this is the best person to ask, I want to get into bmx and idk where to start. Im on a budget of a grand and I want the best bike I can get for that, sort of new to bmx. What’s the best bike for me to get for jumps?
Cool video. I’ve got a few of those Mirra bikes in my collection. You should most definitely tear it down and restore it. Some the the older Haros had a different thread axle thread pitch if I remember right.

@@AlfredoMancuso for sure keep the series going! I’d love to see your step by step process of rebuilding the 540. The 2000 Flair in blue was my first Mirra bike and I still have it. I remember looking through my 2000 haro catalog and wanting all the bikes and colors because I thought they looked cool. The Mirra tribute bikes are cool too and I have all the colors including the gold sample that was being worked on before the project ended. John at Haro who I’m friends had actually sent me spy photos of the red tribute while he was in Taiwan.
Just want to add that these are 1/2" axles, not 14s so might be a little harder to track down the lugs. They switched to 14 in 01

Saw a late 90s mongoose with same frame beefy hubs rims .in a friend's bike shop was a rusted slitely frame .someone donated it .it was heavy . I probably coulda pulled brakes apart but it had a rotor and sruck brakes...what a headache . After I brought it ho.me I said fuck this piece of crap
