Now, that's what you call Pitch Perfect. She had nothing to hide behind. Gorgeous, warm tone, pure crystalline highs and clear enunciation. That pretty falsetto, just the right sprinkling of it, was the cherry on top. Syd's a contender!

i was michael and gwen the first time i heard this live just sitting there in awe and now that ive watched it 10+ times, i’ve now transitioned into snoop where im just shaking my head and smiling like “damn this girl is special” 😂❤️

Sydney is amazing! She is incredibly consistent throughout. This was a perfect song choice for her. Very strategic to go with this well known song. She gave a fantastic performance and I felt so connected. This was her best performance of the season. I loved that! She won that knockout for me.
I think playing it safe actually was a good call here. No doubt with that voice she's going through and now she can blow everyone away in the playoffs and lives.
