Mind blown by what this gentleman just said; when black ppl fight for everyone it looks like a black problem....Wow, what a bar!!! Leave it alone folks, climg to who is down for you from now on.
👍🏾 I agree! Secondly, how can we afford to help anyone else when our people and our community need help the most? When they come to us asking us to support them, we just need to let them know we are too busy helping us FIRST before anyone else! ✊🏾
But, but...the Bill Maher, Chris Coumos & Stephen A Smiths believe helping themselves is being "woke" & they should only serve them and kiss their butt.
I definitely want a copy of this painting. I’m a big supporter and protector of my sisters. Kamala Harris and the black women in this country was betrayed, disrespected, and ignored for many years. It’s hurtful. It’s no more high road for me. My daughters and I voted for Kamala and they cried their eyes out. That’s enough . I’m sick of how bad black women are treated. #nomorehighroad
My sister-in-law said she is gonna pop popcorn & watch the show. I'm doing the same. My family has done a lot of activist work for all ppl. We are going to watch the show & eat popcorn now.
You big dummy? Kamala Harris couldn't wash the feet of Harriet. Tuckman Kamala is Asian white woman. Her father is a Jamaican white man. Ancestors owned slaves in Jamaica. Enlarge numbers idiot
Then you're highly uneducated. Yes. Thank sistas. But that's ts outright misandry that you don't feel the need to thank your counters in the same breath. Smh

Would America be what it is without your ancestors? They built this country. You all continue even in the face of adversity. Thank you for your voices. I learn something every time I listen.
Are you listening to truly learn and understand and to move differently in the world when it comes to African / African-American people or are you listening to learn how to continue to take and steal from the community? It's easy to listen, how are you going to apply what you are listening to? Are you sharing your knowledge that you are receiving from us or are you just trying to be entertained by us? What are your intentions?
They don't want to hear it but that's the truth. Like Jasmine Crockett said, we built this, spilled blood for this and we belong on every level to maintain what we built
THE WHOLE WORLD NEEDS TO HOP OF AMERICA'S DICK! 😮😂 boom! Problem solved. Jealous haters. As if us as americans owe the world an explanation when last time i checked for the last 100 years they've been watching us 😂
I think that's a misinformed statement. I believe that there is a significant amount of black people that want to pick and choose when they want to be American. People make statements that America is going to get what they have coming, ...... the also affect the same black people that you believe that are unattached to this great country
Listening to this young man brought back so much memories, I grew up in a village in Grenada called Chantimelle and even if we had pipes in the yard water came very seldom so I had to walk 5 or even more miles every morning before school to collect water that made me respect everything and everyone who fight for to make our lives better. When you carry your own water you value every Drop
Thanks for tracking him down, Karen! Loved the inspiration of his art. It was truly inspiring. I wish nothing but the best in future endeavors! Where can I get merch from him?
The image is prophetic (with the fires in LA), yet only tells part of our story. The women are surveying the landscape pausing (taking a well deserved break) as they think about what to do next. Black Women will not give up on America. Thank you for this conversation and letting us know about this amazing Brother Artist!
Facts!!!!!🎯💯 Black Men, PLEASE learn to do SELF CARE. PRAY. Embrace each other. Eat clean. Exercise. Drink WATER. Nap. Go fishing. Rollerskate. Stretch. Go Bowling. Hug yourself in the mirror. Live LONG and be BLESSED ✝️
Like Navi, I was invested in this election. I was heartbroken the night of Nov. 5th and disheartened on Nov. 6th. Fast forward to today, like Karen, I am unbothered. Moving forward, I am going to sip my coffee and wine an watch folks live the reality they created. We can participate in the process without carrying all the weight. Great interview. Thanks Karen and Navi. Your commentary is invaluable.
Thank you for finding and introducing us to the IDEA man! I loved this art piece the second I laid eyes on it, it spoke directly to me and, of course, so many others.
Thank you for this image! I feel the same way as the artist. I had hope and believed. I got caught up in believing and got a harsh wake up call on the morning of November 6.
So happy to see that this was created by a brother!! I read where some man felt left out. "Black" women have historically gathered in this manner (and still do) with the men not too far off in the distance. Great piece of art!!
@nwood5670 women might gather in the kitchen and men in the livingroom to talk shop. So while we are sitting on the rooftop, brothers are not forgotten, they just might be sitting in another room. Hope that makes sense. Better yet, the artist gives the best explanation as to why he chose to use images of women and not men or both. Peace & blessings!
Interesting stories coming from this gentleman, especially the Liberia connection. Prof. Hunter is good of you, urging him to write his autobiography and he is in the right place, knowing you are a writer.🙏🏾
Thank you Queen Professor Hunter for bringing the original artist on and having him speak on the purpose of his art. I will be supporting him. Thank you because I am truly unbothered and enjoying my rest.
Black women have been carrying out water for far too long. Yeah have to be so tired, and so tired of being let down. Maybe now finally white women will take notice and do our share. Navi is wonderful. I feel his art. I want to apologize personally to his young daughter 😞 Thank you for keeping on bringing the truth, Dr. Hunter.
Thank you, Ms. Hunter, for having Mr. Navi on your show. I just ordered a mug for my beautiful bae and a print and laptop sleeve for me. Keep up the good work, Mr. Navi. And you need to tell your story. Write that book and I will buy it ASAP! ❤
This was a dynamic and excellent program! If we had a sizable group of brothers like Navi Robins, this country could definitely be turned around for the better. Kudos!
Kamala bet on women to fight for women's rights. Black women did with voting 92% for Kamala but unfortunately white women didn't learn from 2016 and once again chose their whiteness over country by voting 53% for trump! Kamala💙
Dr. Karen, thanks! This is so beautiful. I'm laughing, really tickled. I graduated from HS in '74, he was born in '74. LOL, I'm glad he looks younger than what 50 years sounds like. BTW old church song about being glad to be in the number also applies to being glad to be in the 92%. I really enjoy what he is saying, and "we" need more "he." Great interview! ❤

Thank you for bringing Navi Robins on the show. I was always curious about who was behind this artwork. It evoked a lot of our feeling after this election.
I absolutely loved this. When I first saw the art it really touched me because that's exactly how I was feeling post election. I wondered who the original artist was. Thank you for introducing this extraordinary man to us. His artwork is really beautiful and I hope he writes an autobiography because he has an amazing story. Great interview.❤
Such a good point It's about mentorship. True Leadership. Train your replacements. Build up someone to be better than you are. And give more than you gave.
Yeah, take a break. If other folks feel they could do a better job, then let their asses run out here and save democracy.

Nothing to say….
But, but...the Bill Maher, Chris Coumos & Stephen A Smiths believe helping themselves is being "woke" & they should only serve them and kiss their butt.
It is a black problem when Black people fight for everyone.
What people do you think believe Black peoples problem is the same as their problem?
Thank you Karen Hunter for this opportunity to be heard and seen. I appreciate you.
This is a powerful and beautiful image/message. Thank you for sharing your gift this way.

Thank you, brother for this beautiful painting❤❤ Right, Karen! It gave us permission as Black women to not be bothered!

Thank you Ms. Karen for bringing attention to Mr. Navi ❤
Thank you for tracking down the original artist.😊
Ditto that!

Give Thanks for black women...they've led the charge in the fight for freedom since Harriet Tubman, in my opinion.
Amen! And we could name a few hundred more

Right. We can get burnt out. Unity and responsibility should be shared!!!!
This is true delusion. The idea that you can sit on the sidelines while power plays are being made is asinine. This only sets us back.
