    I`m hiking Iceland since more then 30 years. Hiked the Laugavegurin several time, even snowshoeing it solo ( took me 10 days from Skogar to Landmannalaugar ) under deep winter conditions, But I RELAY LIKE YOUR VID......original natural sounds, slight music in background....awesome done images. WELL DONE Jonathan, Well done *THUMBS UP*..... I subscribed.

      No I didn't, I had the bus booked from Borsmork back to Reykjavik the day after I completed the Laugavegur trail, I wish I had continued on to Skogar though...Iceland has drawn me back twice so I reckon I will return with my boots on again.

    • @JonathanLundmark

      I see! I highly recommend the Fimmvorduhals, it was basically all you want from Iceland condensed into in a single days hike. I have a video uploaded for that hike as well if you ever find the time :)

    I'm arriving next week, but i will cross Hornstrandir first, then, going to Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls. I hope a dry weather this year than my last trip.

      Thank you and good choice going there yourself, it was a great hike!
      As for the microphone I mounted an external mic on my camera and used powerbanks to charge empty batteries (brought 6 batteries and 3 power banks for this trip).
      These are the ones I used for this hike (affiliate links):
      External Microphone: amzn.to/3VyPJ0Q
      Power Bank (very light weight): amzn.to/45kFH6x

    Hi Jonathan,
    Thank you for this magnificent film. The footage is stunning to watch. I also watched your second film about the subsequent hike right away. It was nice to see Graig Adams, the inventor of the silent hiking videos genre, featured in it.
    During which period did you do the hikes? I'm planning my own trip and currently have late June in mind, but I'm wondering about the snow conditions.
    Thank you, and you've gained a new member on your channel :-)

      Thank you very much for your nice feedback, glad that you liked it! And indeed it was so nice for us to meet Kraig Adams, we bumped into each other a few times and had dinner together.
      The hike took place during the summer, late june to july.
      Thanks for the sub!

    Beautiful video Jonathan, I did the hike last September as my first long distance hike, so many memories! How did you include so many stunning drone shots? Did you have multiple batteries/powerbank or were able to charge in the camps?

    • @JonathanLundmark
      @JonathanLundmark  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thank you, glad you found it beautiful! I brought 3 batteries for the drone, 4 batteries for the camera, 2 lightweight 5000 mAh powerbanks for phone and batteries and 1 large 20.000 mAh powerbank.
      That’s the setup I have brought for all my hikes which has worked out well, always having a bit more power than needed to make sure I do not run out. When I get a chance I charge along the trail but from what I recall this was not possible during Laugavegur until reaching ”Thorsmork” where we could recharge batteries for the next hike over Fimmvorduhals.

      In Sweden! Ussually buy it online and exists in almost all outdoor activivity related shops where you would buy hiking gear. ”Freeze dried food” would be the keywords to search for :)

    I understand the huts you have to reserve ahead of time but you did not mention anything about camping with a tent. Do you just find a spot and camp and pay for it and no reservations needed is that correct?

    • @JonathanLundmark
      @JonathanLundmark  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There was a fee for pitching a tent in designated areas but you could pay it there and did not have to book in advance!
