As someone who has been burned by how my favorite books and plays have turned out when they were turned into movies, you honestly have to learn to silo the two medias and let them stand on their own. I will say that when Hollywood adapted Momma Mia they messed with their own version’s timeline, which made it bad as a stand alone, amongst other things I found unappealing. So I would hope more people could find a way to let the movie stand for itself. Although an interesting video to be made would be comparing the stage and movie to the book, seeing which one came closer and what each does well and where each miss the mark.

I have located the audiobook on Spotify and have been thoroughly enjoying the story. Truly has me ecxited for the movie.
