    Thank for your review.
After Cataract Surgery, my vision is excellent.
I can read at 22 inches.
    20/20 on Snellen.
I use the plus to prevent re-entry into myopia.

Please stay away from readers unless you just cant read it unless you are reading for an extended period of time. Trust me monovision sucks, this will too as your far distance wont be 3D. 3D at only near/midrange. Im 50 and I can read most things. Got mine reversed and much happier, Stereo is back baby lol

Hey I had movovision lasik because it was recommended by my doctor. I’m just past two months and my monovsion eye (short distance) is very myopic. I can only read text half a foot away. It’s not getting any better despite my doctor telling me to be patient. The eye scans even show that my right eye is very myopic and is not supposed to be so myopic after the monovision lasik treatment. Do you think this will improve? It’s quite annoying tbh! I’m 37 and male.

@@travelthis You probably have eye spasm on top of the lasik, this is exactly why I dont like monovision, the reading eye will only go more myopic the more you read and use the focusing muscle, when it gets stuck, use lose and additional .5D to .75D of distance vision. When I got my monovision reversed, it look a LONG time to release the spasm, I had to go outside daily and limit phone use and it worked!!!! It is a constant battle avoiding eye strain spasm, reading glasses help prevent spasm, letting the glasses do the work keeps the strain off the eyes, I studied vision improvement for 1.5 years after monovision and found out why vision fails, Wild animals vision does not go south, why should ours

@@travelthis After my monovision, my clarity in my reading eye was 10 inches, It never got better. he WAY over did mine, I could read the smallest print on any bottle with ease, the trick is keeping the focusing muscle in shape but not spasm it, that is the goal to read with presbyopia, never give up on ur eyes, quess what, ur distance eye will get terrible at reading anything because it is never used, lens getting more stiff and the muscle weakening,

Very helpful, thank you. I am in my 60’s and my first cataract surgery on my dominant eye had complications with a ruptured capsular bag and a 3 piece monofocal lens for distance hung from my sulcus. For my other eye mini monovision was recommended. I now understand why. I am a photographer and initially wanted panoptix lenses in both eyes. I was told now that I had this complication using one panoptix lens I might not neuroadapt but with mini monovision I will.

I am watching this with monovision. Just had my SMILE done a month ago. The mixed visions are a bit comforting. Not used to it. Night time is a bit challenging as well.

      Nice to hear that!
Did you go for this blended mono-vision or the classic mono-vision?
      Thank you for sharing!

Hi Dan, I absolutely agree to your excellent video! As You know we practice this type of monovision since many years and I am a refractive surgeon who has this realized in my own eyes! I wonder when you get your surgery, or are you of the 5-8% naturally occuring Monovisionistas? Greetings from your german collegue...

I had standard monovision Lasik. Is it possible to undergo blended vision afterward?

If ur eye can handle it, most ppl can, I had mine reversed all the way, best decision ive made, rarely need readers, Dr sd I couldnt read, then I found the secret, learn how to active focus and clean the diet up to improve the tear film, night and day difference

Sounds very well researched, I am just a patient in the US, and I am going to try a contact lens trial of monovision b4 possibly going with cataract surgery with intraocular monovision lens replacement if the contact lens trial works out ok. I wore hard lenses in the past for monovision and suspect they will do the trial in soft lenses. I have been wearing progressive lenses for 10 yrs as my eyes got too dry for the hard lenses. Monovision for the cataract replacemt appeals to me because like the progressive eyeglasses I wake up and am set for the day and don't fool with readying glasses. Of course I could go for distance caratarct lenses and go with a no power on top progressive glasses with reading on the bottom of the glasses for the days I don't want to fool with readers. Monovision may sacrifice a bit of distance vision and depth perception at night I read, but I am thinking it will probably be worth it. watch tv 40% of my time,, On the computer 30%,,I read a bit 15% of my time, practice easy senior tennis-10%,,hobby very rarely with rc airplanes-3%.

Any input from the research or input from anyone else who has faced this decision, is welcome. My weak eye for the reading is very cloudy, the dr's think due to a cataract and I think it is noticibly cloudy vs the other eye, perhads due detached retina surgery 8 yrs ago.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and expericne!
I'm 31 with cataracts in both (otherwise very healthy accommodating sharp vision) eyes, and now facing this big decision. What lens/strategy did you choose?
