I was an IPace owner for nearly three years covering 45,000 miles with many long journeys. I never saw 20-80% charging in 40 minutes even in optimum temperatures. 104kW charging is possible but not for long, so average charging rate over a full charge was rarely better than about 60kW. I now have an Ioniq 5 which charges 20-80% in less than 20 minutes on a suitable charger. I’ve covered 50k miles and the battery is at 98% capacity. Jaguar were innovators but the iPace is old tech and the new platform will be much better.

This car is such a good car for driving but sadly it has some big challanges when it comes to charging. Their software was also so full of bugs when the car was new, even simples things as drawing the image on the screen or datetime calculations (in my case it notified me that my next driving will be in a time that passed serveral hours already)

Compared to my Tesla, which is much cheaper to purchase, the Jaguar's charging speeds, whether AC or DC are rubbish. JLR has had 6 years to improve things, but has done nothing. I owned an early IPace for 3 years, and while I still think the styling is attractive, the technical aspects of both hardware and software are 10 years behind. Not only is the car lagging behind, but Tesla has invested in the Supercharger network, which, coupled with their software, eliminates range anxiety completely. I fear JLR is headed for extinction.

I’m still using the 3 pin at home as I’m on a shared loop and waiting on a new cable getting installed before I can get my pod point 😢

The infrastructure is so slow and poor just now but I still love my ipace 😊

I am getting 4 miles per kw. So on a 22kw charger, I can add 88 miles per hour. Your number are based on an efficiency of 2miles per kw???

You can only charge up to 11kW on AC charging, on later models and 7kW on earlier models so you will not get 22kW. Figures are from EV database ev-database.org/uk/car/1812/Jaguar-I-Pace-EV400

I am starting my 3rd month with my ipace at service for error codes and likely bad battery pack. No loaner, no updates, no cares. Jaguar is a horrible company, stay away !
