    Boy I am glad you had the same setter that I made out of aluminum but I couldn't figure out how to make a safety device for it now I know took me a few time to stop the video but I got it 😊 thanks a million for your video.

    Slow catching on but I am stealing that magnet idea for knives

    Cool and helpful video. Have you tried drilling out the trigger, removing the wire, and inserting the pan tab in there? Then you can bolt it on

    Try silver solder or bronze rod.. makes joining ferrous metals easier. Good Idea though. Might give it a try. Thanks

      4x4extreme5 was going to say the same. or a quick tack with a welder.

      That 160 is the first time I have ever had one let go. Must be the extra snapping power or something. Do you use a bronze rod the same way as solder?

    • @4x4extreme5
      @4x4extreme5 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The brazing rod has its own flux coating on it and as long as the surface your sticking together is clean it will hold extremely well. You might need a bit more heat to get it to melt. MAP gas works well instead of propane.

      Heat the metal until cherry red and apply the rod. Not much more to it than that.

      Thanks... what is MAP gas?

    If you sand those triggers and pan, that soldering will go real quick and youll just need a dab instead of half the roll.

    Could you put a tab opposite the first punch two holes in it then bend the wire to the sides? Then you wouldn't have to solder and could use the trap in original form if you wanted.

    Dave you should seriously write a third book LOL on all the different sets and mods you can make!! I know I'd buy two copies cause I wear the first one out lol

      The second book is a combination of stories and trap sets and other stuff.

    Nice work. You may put other two holes to put in the ends of the wire in, so if the solder are loose, the wire not come out. Thanks for sharing. I wait every time your new videos.Take care, Gyula.

    excellent job on the pan not to be a smart ass but i do a lot of pluming so i solder a lot and if you want strong solder you heat the metal on till the solder runs from the heated metal not the torch... thats my two cents worth hahaaaaa LOL

    • @trappingworld6463
      @trappingworld6463  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya I know better. Got it to hot I think and maybe the metal was dirty.

    The pan sticks out of the trap way to far. ....It could work, but you need to push the pan onto the triggers all of the way.
