I love how everyone’s endgames were like Bonnie & Enzo, Damon/Stefan and Elena, Caroline and Klaus/Stefan or Elijah and Hayley but I think the true endgame is Klaus’s and Elijah’s relationship. I mean they obviously had their ups and downs but when push comes to shove, they were always there for each other and also, Elijah could’ve easily been like” well it was nice knowing you Klaus see eventually” but instead he decided to break the stake in half and die with his little brother to me, the show was never about a love triangle like Tvd. Instead it was built more on family relationships and these two amazing characters( even though I wanted Elijah to die towards the end of the series because I was really mad about the whole Hayley’s death thing, I was still really disappointed when he died).
In The Vampire Diaries, the real endgame is Stefan and Damon Stefan died for his brother and his peace with the Elena. And on the other hand in the originals endgame are Elijah and Klaus because they died together and before that they all survived together

Hayley wouldn't have gone through with the marriage if Elijah hadn't been selfless by telling her to marry Jackson. He could have abandoned Klaus after he killed Celeste and would have had every right to, but he didn't because it wouldn't have brought her back and family always came first to him. Instead, he tried to make him a better person despite everything he had done. He sacrificed his own happiness for his brother. If Elijah had been given the opportunity to live out his life without feeling the need to redeem Klaus, he would have lived the same life he had lived without memories. So he gave up his love life, his uncle relationship to Marcel, and his love for playing the piano to make his brother a better person. He even gave up all his memories for his niece to live. Yet, the very action he took to protect Hope is the same one that has people mad 😂 Too many people forget how much Elijah sacrificed for others. I mean look at Hope! She was a major brat of epic proportions! She threw a fit over Klaus not being able to see her for her own safety, turned a boy into a hybrid for no actual reason other than he wanted it and thought it would magically make his problems disappear and that landed with him in the garden. Who punishes a child by torturing them?! It's also not like she couldn't have just ended his life so he didn't have to suffer after she knew he'd go to the garden? Or she could have compelled him to not feel the pain or hunger. But she just made him calm. Says nothing for his suffering which she could have prevented. She could have even further prevented it by not turning him to begin with! Then she goes and she runs off, ditching her cellphone and gets kidnapped. And she left her mother in the coffin unattended like the Mikaelson's didn't have a million enemies to see her dad, who if I remember correctly, wasn't supposed to be in close proximity to her because of the Hallow. Her parents and Elijah all made sacrifices for her, yet she couldn't do the simple task of not trying to see her dad at every turn and watching over her mom in her vulnerable state. I get why she wants to see her dad so badly, but she causes the prophecy to come closer to happening if she gets as close to him as she wants to get. The brat just can't stand to be at fault for her mother's death, and blames her uncle who made countless sacrifices for her while she tries to undo every single one of them! Yet so many people love Hope because she's pretty and she's the tribrid 🙄 Not actually for personality it doesn't seem since they never mention it. They only mention her beauty and her tribrid status. She's ultimately the one at fault for her mother's death. Not Elijah. It's ridiculous to expect an amnesiac man to know who is good and who is bad and who he should be helping and who he shouldn't. And he shouldn't have erased his memories is what people argue. But he was HAPPY. For once in his life he didn't feel obligated to put other's happiness and wellbeing above his own and he got to actually live. Yet he's the villian for that? 😂 If he didn't do that, he would have gone to Klaus. Yet nobody dares blame the most popular character in the series (at least according to several pulls about the favorite character of the series) for going to Elijah, his daughter, or Hayley because he misses them and could bring doom because of it. Nobody blames Hope for her mother's kidnapping or for getting her father to see her when she was old enough to know what would happen. Then she goes on to blame Elijah who at the time had no way of knowing who she was or what she meant. That she was good and not the villian. She blames him when he's already blaming himself for it. But the truth is, he did nothing wrong. The one who did something wrong and ultimately killed Hayley was her own daughter. She knew better, yet made the selfish decision that ultimately landed with her mother dead. In my opinion, the entire series was ultimately pointless. I still love it, but the way the wrote adult Hope just completely ruined her character. She wasn't worth saving given how she turned out. Which makes all the sacrifices made for her pointless and all the plots surrounding her also pointless. Everyone of the characters would have ultimately been happier if Hope had just kicked it in my opinion and the show would have wound up better. That or they should have just written Hope as a less epically bratty teen

And their demons are always constantly judging them when they don’t understand their pain they’ve had to keep burying I’d know I went through it still trying to fight those demons I’ll never believe what they see me as.
