    You have no idea how much I've been looking for a GOOD Fur Elise tutorial. Thank you! Also, if you could make a tutorial for Mozart's Alla Turca (technique & interpretation and maybe pedal too), would be amazing.

      ***** Originally, yes. But there are some versions that use the pedal slightly just to enhance some parts, that's why I said 'maybe' before 'pedal'.

    Thank you so much!! I’ve started piano lessons after 30 years at the age of 65 and my hands have remembered some bad habits. (I wish the rest of my memory was that good!) I’m working on this piece and your video is extremely helpful. I don’t understand a lot of your technical terms although a comprehensive theory workbook is on its way. It’s not likely I’ll ever be able to maintain accuracy if playing as quickly as you, but I’m having a great time anyway. Thank you again and count me subscribed.

    Great video!! I have been religiously following your teachings. I have one doubt.. how do we use the pedal in section C?

    • @Hungarianpianotradition
      @Hungarianpianotradition  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The main rule is to change the pedal on each new harmony. I suggest to play the sixteenths from measure 60 onwards either with a new pedal on the first one, i.e. on the third beat, or without pedal but since there is a crescendo in measures 61 and 69 I would use the pedal there but skip it in measure 64 (dim.). Similarly in the B-flat section, the sixteenths without pedal. If your pedaling is advanced enough, you may change the pedal on each sixteenth as well :-)

    after 0:55 what is meant by "more" and "less?" Is it volume/crescendo?

    • @furelise454
      @furelise454 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is more or less of the "tenuto" which means holding the the note, just a slight emphasis.
