May be unfair to say but I’ve always seen these two playing together as something like a master and the student who’s become master having this amazing conversation with the pupil having the energy and the master the finesse. The way Hiromi and Chick look at one another makes me wonder if they've ever been "intimate" with eachother, which I can't imagine to be true... until I realize that they are intimate with eachother, and in a way that is beyond sexual and a thousand times more rare and precious.

Sure...if you don't get what you want. "Lousy improv" to one is inspired creativity to another. Everyone's a critic, sir. But the last word most folks would ever apply to these two is lousy. But...as you say...it's your opinion.
I think most virtuoso jazz musicians would agree that Chick Corea is among the half dozen greatest living jazz musicians and one of the all time great improvisors. The level of improvisation on this track is astounding. Do you have any knowledge of jazz and improvisation?

I met Hiromi at the Newport Jazz Festival 2010. I heard there, although not from her, that Chick is her mentor.
