Perfect fit and easy to install. I used pvc pipe, 3/4inch as prop rods. I was amazed at the llooks and the noise cancellation on my >09 Sierra. Great product.
I have some vibration rattle noise on my 2 piece dash by windshield and from the cracks. Will this stop the rattle noise from the two piece section and from the existing cracked dash? And will the new dashskin installation result in a rattle free result?
Totally depends on how diligent you are about seeking out the spots that rattle! Check out the advice in this video: th-cam.com/video/hXdJRKYHizA/w-d-xo.html
Only problem I had with my dash skin was that the silicone was way to hard to squeeze out of the tube, nothing like on the video. The silicone should come in a caulk type tube, would be a who E lot easier.
@@jg1912 you could install one with very minimal silicone in that case so it's easier to remove. Just be sure to put weights on all of the openings and edges so it's nice and flush while the silicone cures
@@nickbacis9699 the silicone gets applied in a dotted pattern around most of the cover (outer edges), which makes removal much easier than applying a bead. We have a full set of detailed removal instructions we can send if you email customerservice@dashskin.com requesting them! Reinstall with 100% silicone RTV adhesive found at any hardware store.
You don't have to use hood prop rods, they're just a visual aid. Squeegee handle, pieces of wood or PVC, whatever you've got in the garage thats roughly the correct length!
We don't have phone books anymore. Dash looks good.
I get two every year
Where the fuck do you get a fonebook 1985?!

My dash would hit the floor board if I put weight on it 😂 I just ordered a new dash $900 not cool but unavoidable in my case
Too bad the dash still cracks to crap on 50 thousand dollar truck

Sock the silicone in hot water for an hour or so tell its warm/hot then it's much easier to work with.
Can I use E6000 glue?
So what happens when you need to remove the cluster or something?
You take it off and reinstall it when you're done. Same for heater core/blend door/or anything requiring access under the dash.
DON'T DO IT. NO BUENO. THIS IS 4 LIFE.
@@jg1912 silicone adhesive is not epoxy dude, they're easy to remove.
@@TulsaDrones good to know.... but my dashboard is hardcore fragile

Im going to use shower curtain rods I think 🤔
What silicone?
Any 100% silicone RTV will work great! We recommend clear color
@@DashSkin will the dash cover be able to be removed in the future? How does that work with the silicon

Why not use double sided tape ?
Double sided tape its rugged enough to hold it down@@jd498
Looks like additional cost to me now I have to go purchase these items just to put my dash cover on
