The toy I am currently having a blast playing is the portable steel pan jumbie jam by panyard which is tuned to g major. This has been my go to backing track for playing with it. Transports me to the tropics every time. Very nice work 👍
Don't forget to add some alterations on the sominant chord like b5, #5, b9 and #9. You can use the aumented scale over D7, its sounds good. Cheers and good practice.
@@sasiloreleimusic Over the chord progression i used to play Arpeggios over the third: on G, Bm7 makes Gmaj9; on Em, Gmaj7 makes Em9; Am, Cmaj7 makes Am9; and D i just play F#m7b5, makes D9... or sometimes Mixolidian b6 b7 to add some "exotic" colour before G. I hope this information helps you. Cheers.
@@manfredanhorn1817 a bit like Breezin' I tried the melody runs from Breezin' against it and it works. Sounds a little different b/c the tempo and the changes are a little different
For anyone wondering this is 140BPM

can anyone explain why this - to me on my solo guitar - is in the key of E instead of G?
The backing track is in G Major which is the same as E minor, if you are playing E minor pentatonic you are hitting G major notes
Not VI, but IV
