The "Create Some Love" BERNINA B990 event is a University of Sewing exclusive event. The expert staff of the University of Sewing will guide you through the steps as you learn to sew and embroider with flawless precision, captivating speed and miraculous features. See how the new 10-inch touch screen makes navigating the machine easier than ever. Samples of quilting, embroidery and sewing will be shown all afternoon. You will go home with a sample from class to show off to your friends.

The University of Sewing's own Margaret, Alice, and Denise will guide you through the steps to create your own piece of love to take home.
Registration includes use of a B990 machine, supplies, and lunch (and chocolate!).
BUT - if you place an order for a B990 at the event your registration fee will be refunded to you.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 11AM-5PM at the University of Sewing.
You MUST be registered to attend this event and if you bring a friend, they need to register as well. Seating is limited so that everyone will be able to experience this amazing machine for themselves.

Instructors: Margaret Fette, Alice Lorenzen, Denise Shaffer
Instructor Bio: Margaret has been teaching and sewing professionally for over 30 years. Sewing is her passion and she loves Bernina's. She owned and ran The Tailored Fit alterations shop for 24 years. She worked on Broadway, taught at IU in the Fashion Design school and opened the University of Sewing in 2018. Alice has been sewing for 54 years, and teaching sewing for 20+ years for both machines and garments. Besides teaching at national sewing shows and working at sewing machine dealers for a combined 20 years, she is trained as a Palmer & Pletsch fitting/sewing instructor and is currently the University of Sewing's expert on Embroidery, Sergers and Software. Denise has been sewing for over 30 years and has taught at the US for 4 yrs. She is a quilter primarily but has recently taken up apparel sewing as well. She is enjoying her Q20 series and is very proficient at it. As a mom of 8, Denise is a particularly patient & natural teacher. With her work Granny Sampler BOM, her You Tube presence is one of our most watched You Tube videos with over 1,500 views! Together that is 114 years of sewing, quilting and embroidery experience!!! That's what makes our store unique and a place for sewing enthusiasts! Plus they all own a B990! The University of Sewing has a You Tube channel with almost 6 thousand subscribers. All our teachers can be seen from time to time on our Facebook Live which we do every Friday and Saturday mornings at 9:30am.
