I’ve been looking for a tutorial on this method for LITERAL MONTHS and I screamed out loud when this popped up in my recommend. Exactly what I was looking for-Thank you so much!!
These are so cool! I'm a new DnD player and have a few manufactured dice to play with, but seeing these and the stuff people make on Etsy is just so amazing. I'm a sucker for tiny pretty things so dice are right up my ally. Making them seems very fun but also very intimidating - I was wondering if perhaps you could do a video on how you got into dice making, or like a tutorial for beginners?
I found you and TikTok and absolutely fell in love with your style! I was hoping you could do a dice making for beginners series or video because I've been wanting to try dice making but have been far to intimidated. 💓💓💓💓
Thank you so much! That’s definitely something I’ve been thinking about, although I think it’ll take me a while to plan out. I do look forward to trying my hand at it!
I definitely want to know everything about the process, it's so interesting! And if you ever need to fill time, play some music over a slightly sped up montage and I will still watch every second :) Gorgeous dice
I use a pressure pot to get rid of any bubbles, I also dip the flakes into the resin before putting it in the mold. I don't like taking any chances with bubbles, cause they are very inconvenient lol. A pressure pot is much easier than a heat gun because I don't have to worry about burning the mold, or flash burning my resin. I know that you said these things, but I just wanted to point them out as well.
This is so pretty!! I tried it out, but my white resin sank all to the bottom and didn't swirl like you managed to do it,, what could be the reason for that?
So I tried doing this and I think I realized one of my problems being I didn't push on my pipette enough with it in my dice, but I also had an extremely difficult time even getting resin into the pipette. Do you have any tips on that besides snipping the end of the pipette?
Thank you so much for the video! Awesome dice set! I was wondering if you could point out the differences between having a pressure pot and not. I am just getting started in my dice making journey and I’m not sure I can afford a pressure pot, but should I keep it on my radar to have? Thanks again!
I highly recommend you keep it on your radar to invest in when you can! Without a pressure pot you’re going to have to take a lot of extra steps to eliminate micro bubbles. Those steps are definitely doable, like heating your resin beforehand, mixing very slowly, using a heat gun to pop surface bubbles, etc. but it is a lot of extra work in my opinion
Hey! I like your Dices a lot, they are very beautiful! I already did some Dices by myself and with the one Im playing with Im really satisfied and got some good results but... I tried this cloud effect, but without the foil. The white resin sank to the bottom.. I went in with the pipette as you did, swirled it around but it doesnt helped.. Im using a 24h Resin and also the Pinata Blanco Blanco.. You may have any tip?? The time Im pouring the resin in my molds is ~5-10 minutes after Im done with mixing my resin and debubbling.... Also using a pressure pot... I know whit pigments in Blanco Blanco should be heavier than other pigments, but can it just be that?? best regards and thanks for help!
It definitely can be the pigment being too heavy! There’s actually a pour technique that relies on heavy pigment sinking. So I’d say be sparing with your white, only use as much as you need to get the color you want. Start with a drop, mix, then add more as needed. You may also be putting most of the pressure on your pipette initially and not as much throughout, leading to most of the white being at the bottom. Hope this helps!
@deFabii I also had this kind of problem. Solution I found was: fill the molds with base colour, wait until resin starts to cure, when it's gel-like (in case of my resin it's about 40-50 min) and then add resin via pipette.
Nope, not really! I never really do anything with resin that requires me to wait since I have zero patience, haha! My colors mix a bit but I usually want a little bit of blend
Thank you so much for this beautiful tutorial! ♡ I've been working with resin and dice sets for a year, but my dice sets are nowhere near as beautiful as yours SIGH. My sets aren't bad BUT the biggest problem I have found until now is to get rid of the bubbles and I was thinking of buying a pressure pot. However I've never used a pressure pot and I'm no expert, so... can I ask you a few tips about how it works (maybe in a video if that's okay for you) and the brand which you use? (´。• ᵕ •。`)

I am so happy that you started a youtube channel. Your videos are perfect ! Maybe a final result with inking on the dice at the end ?
What a great video! Short and to the point.
Gorgeous dice

Thank you so much I love watching the dice making process! Would be interested in how you make your molds!
I would love to know where you had this molds ? The D4 particularly
I make all of my own molds and have tutorials posted for both styles I use! ☺️
Loved this, by chance where did you get your mold as I am new to this also can I still make some with out a pot?

Thank you for watching! 🥰
Amazing dice and tutorial. One quick question: where do you get the mylar papers/film?
Do you sell the molds? Thats perfect!
Great tutorial! I would love to see a video on how you make your molds!
Great video, thanks so much for putting this together!

What’s your pressure pot set up? What compressor do you use? Any tips
I actually have a pressure pot video planned for sometime soon! I use converted 2.5 gallon harbor freight paint pots and an HDX air compressor
Sky blossom, sherbet, rock candy, sunrise, snow cone.....

@@dreamy_dice thank you so much. I may used to much white pigment.. I will try your advices!!
Looking forward for upcoming Dice content from you

Do you take orders for custom dice?
Question have you ever tried coloring the “cloud” part a different color? Or tried a colored opaque alcohol ink?
Yes absolutely! Usually for colored clouds I still use Blanco Blanco as my base then just a few drops of whatever alcohol ink color I want
@@dreamy_dice Thanks
Did you wait between mixing and pouring? I usually end up with too much mixing of colors in the molds when I try multi color.
Nope, not really! I never really do anything with resin that requires me to wait since I have zero patience, haha! My colors mix a bit but I usually want a little bit of blend
@@dreamy_dice oh I’m like you. If I have to wait at all before pouring I’m pacing like a caged tiger.
What are the name of the bubbles I can't seem to find them
Will resin dye achieve similar results or are there other benefits to alchohol ink?
Resin dye (at least the kind I’m familiar with) will give similar results! As long as it’s a transparent colorant it should work
@@dreamy_dice freaking cool! Thank you
Did you make your molds?
Yes, I do make my own molds!
@@dreamy_dice lovely dice. Your molds are unique. How do you make the caps to recess on the tops?
