Rode this in about 2009 - it was ace back then. Somewhere around 5:49, I had quite a spectacular off, getting blinded by the sun, missing a feature and going for a trip over the bars. Good memories. Subbed.
Me and a friend did the full 2 loops combined in sep '22 and part of the board walk on the upper loop literally collapsed from under us hahaha, was only a short drop but bloody hell woke us up half way through a hefty ride, love this place absolute gem, don't forget to donate to the cause at the parking spot 👍
Was a regular trial I'd take time out to ride a few times a year...never gets boring...always be prepared for bad weather on Machno as is could be sunny in other valley's yet raining there.. also very sketchy mobile signal if riding solo and even in the middle of an extended drought part's of the trail are always wet😂
Great video! There are some great Airbnbs just a few miles down the road in Cwm Penmachno. There’s also a giant old quarry down there that’s worth exploring.
Great review and one which I totally agree with. I've ridden trail centres all over the country but this place is easily the best imo. There's a section towards the end called Benddigedig which is comparable to some of the off piste stuff in Dyfi- really fast, technical, loads of different lines, mega fun. I did the much hyped Glentress red a few weeks ago, not even remotely as good as Penmachno. If you're in the area I recommend also doing Dragon's back at Coed Y Brenin, there's some sections of singletrack towards the back end of the forest that are sublime.
Stayed in Penmachno for a week a few years ago, beautiful spot. Didn’t do any biking, plenty of hiking though. Need to get a north wales MTB trip organised!
Came off big style in that last section the only time I did this trail. Scary stuff. Amazing place, very isolated,no signal. Go with friends I would suggest.
That first climb from the car park is a drag, worth taking your time over it so you’re not blown-up early on. The rest is a scream, it’s my local but happy to share😎🏴
This ride is my favourite in North Wales, but this is possibly the driest iv ever seen it, most of the year this place is like a river, have a look at idiots guid to penmachno an you'll see how wet it can get, you'll wana take a kayak 😂
We rode it after torrential rain....... I only crashed once 😂 we just assumed that the trail was so narrow, that the line would have to be ok...... Scary, but fun
It’s nr Betws y coed. But it’s probably 60 % underwater. The whole trail is submerged most of the year. I ve ridden it since it opened . Would nt bother again tbh .
The scenery is amazing and the descents are the best I've ridden at any trail centre. I live a long way away but have been 3 times this year, there are puddles in places but they add to the fun imo.
Love Penmachno. Wettest trail on the planet!
Great vids and trails in Wales, keep on riding and shooting vids. I hope riding one day in the best trails of Wales. Best regards

Yeah it is an amazing spot. You definitely need to get yourself back there for a ride 😃

Yeah it’s a bit isolated. Definitely go with friends and make sure people know where you are.
Nice video. Thanks for showing news places to ride !! Can't wait to visit there 🤘
What a great review, honest and simple without the 'look at me' faff.

That's where the 75 Nm e bike comes handy😂
Looks absolutely bangin... I’ll visit for sure. Great review man. 🤙🤙🤙
Went to penmachno this summer. Great trail
Yeah it’s great. I definitely want to go back
That's definitely added to my bucket list
Great place only been there four times and well worth doing the 2nd loop. 👍
Awesome. Yeah I can’t wait to go back and do the second loop.🥳
Very under the radar place, never heard of it, looks great.
It is well hidden (especially with no phone signal). Well worth a visit though.👍🏻
This place looks amazing. I bet its much harder in real life than it looks on camera😃
Yeah you’ve got that right! 🤣

thats my vivaro in background ! had an absolute blast around there
I remember it being pretty awesome (but remote) many years ago
Yeah I think we rode here together back in the day. 🥳
We rode it after torrential rain....... I only crashed once 😂 we just assumed that the trail was so narrow, that the line would have to be ok...... Scary, but fun
I used to live there. Quiet place now.
Needed my arm bands when I went there😮
Yeah I think that’s the case most of the time 🤣
Try it in winter , it’s a beautiful river
😂
Umm my dad crashed int that trail and cut/slit his hand open and broke his hand but hes ok but it is a really amazing trail abousltle love it😂😂.
That sounds savage (but yeah an epic trail).
Marin trail isnt to far from this place but I prefer Penmachno!
This looks soooo good!
Whereabouts is this place?
It’s nr Betws y coed.
But it’s probably 60 % underwater.
