I just dropped in new filter without draining diesel. Is the diesel in tray contaminated enought to cause any damage, as the new filter was soaked in present diesel from both sides?
When the diesel comes thru the transparent hose, then the filter is full of diesel and I can start the engine? So is not necessary to put diesel into filter manually? Thank you! I have touran my2009.

Hi it's almost the same just don't empty the fuel filter and when you install new one turn ignition on and off couple of times,more times that better just leave the fuel in container
Do I really need to bleed the filter canister with the transparent tube or just turn the car key on and off a few times and let the system fill the canister by itself
It's easyer when you open the bleed screw if you drain the whole filter like in the video if you replace fuel filter without draining the you can go only with ignition couple of times without removing bleeding screw

When I pull the filter it came out by it self I wasn't removing on purpose

Prime the chamber with diesel before putting cover back on otherwise you will have an airlock
