The Premiere Edition is the ultimate Adventure grade with exclusive leather seat upholstering and dedicated 18-inch machined alloy wheels. The grade will be equipped with powered back door with kick sensors, head-up display and available in bi-tone colour combinations as standard. The limited series Premiere Edition will be available for the first 12 months of sales and open to pre-launch reservations.
The new model’s essential ruggedness can be seen in the front under-run and a lower bumper protection plate at the rear. The specification also includes a set of silver roof rails as standard and 18-inch alloy wheels with a dark grey finish.
In the cabin the Yaris Cross Adventure’s sense of purpose is expressed in piano black trim details and a black headlining. The supportive leather-like seats are upholstered in an Adventure grade design and there is a deco line across the black, soft-touch instrument panel and inner door mouldings, finished in Yaris Cross’ signature Warm Gold colour. Leather is used for the steering wheel and shift lever gaiter.
The hybrid powertrain is also available on all versions of the Yaris Cross, based on the 116 DIN hp 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle fourth generation system which debuted in the new Yaris hatchback. The system’s exceptional efficiency is expected to deliver CO2 emissions of around 100 g/km in the front-wheel drive Yaris Cross, and less than 110 g/km in the AWD-i models.
Yaris Cross is the only compact hybrid SUV to offer the intelligent all-wheel drive system (AWD-i) which automatically switches from front-wheel-drive to all-wheel-drive depending on road conditions, offering customers an enhanced layer of safety. Furthermore, the intelligent all-wheel-drive system comes standard with a manually-selected mode switch for Trail and Snow modes to enhance vehicle stability in tricky road conditions.
Yaris Cross offers customers seamless wireless mobile device connectivity through Toyota Smart Connect, featuring industry-standard cross-device support for the first time on a core Toyota model. Centred on the large 9-inch high-definition multimedia display, navigation is a breeze with cloud-based live map updates, real-time traffic information and road events, and points of interest searches online.
Toyota Teammate Advanced Park provides an additional level of safety and convenience in busy urban environments to guide drivers into parking spots with the intuitive controls found on the high-definition multimedia display. The advanced semi-automated parking feature ensures smooth parking and fewer manoeuvres using the onboard 360° panoramic camera to guide the car safely into place without additional steering, accelerator and brake inputs from the driver. In addition to the 360° Panoramic Camera, the advanced semi-automated parking system comes standard with the combination of Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Automatic Braking and Intelligent Clearance Sonars with Automatic Braking which further enhance the safety and convenience for drivers in busy urban roads.
The capacious load compartment can be extended with the 40:20:40 split folding rear seat system, allowing each rear seat to be individually folded, to accommodate skis, mountain bikes or a week’s holiday luggage with the ability to secure the cargo with fixation rings.

Bought this car yesterday. I really love the design and the fact that it is an hybrid is just a plus. The easinest and comfort is a dubble plus. Economical car but secure at the same time. Im so excited!!

Today I took the new Toyota Yaris for a test drive to see what I thought of it. I never ever thought at the end of the test drive I would say I love a hybrid but I genuinely did. The experience was great, in regard to a roar from the engine when you accelerate, I did not find this. I thought the experience was relaxing and comfortable, I would totally support hybrid.

@@larryhagman2387 I should have my. Excel in November. I really wanted a sunroof because I’ve always had one, but they said if I didn’t have a sunroof I could have it in Nov, so I relented. Was a difficult decision to make about the car because I’ve always had German cars before!. This is my sensible retirement car LOL xx🇬🇧

Great Choice Tom 👍 The car is super nice
As an owner of the regular Yaris, I can tell you the 'B' mode isn't for generating more power to the battery. It's for engine braking. Just leaving it in Drive will generate as much power for the battery and without having 'B' selected you can coast further and charge the battery more that way. That's my experience anyway. But the Cross looks good too. Would definitely consider it if it had a bit more power.

Took it for a test drive after not being satisfied with how cramped the hatch back version felt at the dealership, was impressed with the safety suite and love the minimalist easy clean interior and surfaces, preferred the GXL trim level in Australia, with thicker shod rubber on a slightly smaller rim. The larger feeling interior with pleasant all around visibility, tied with the frugal hybrid 2WD option was what sold it to me, Now the wait begins.

The B mode does NOT regenerate more energy! It activates the engine brake and should only be used in long and extreme downhill to avoid overheating the brakes.

Radu Kona it is also very nice and somehow different. Both are nice cars and it is hard to choose one. I think the best is also to test it yourself and then you see which one fit you better 🙂👍

I'm in Tasmania and took a test drive today. Loved it, and ordered the Yaris Cross Urban which is the top of the range with all the bells and whistles. My colour is gold with black ink top. I'm also getting a dashcam, rubber matting, slim weather shields. We don't have a choice of glass roof, sadly, or colours like pink, but I'm happy with my choice.
It'll take 12 months and costs $46,600 drive away. With the delay the costs can fluctuate a bit depending on latest innovations. It'll be a 2024 model.

Nice video, Just FYI, in B mode the car Does NOT regenerate energy, all it does is includes the engine to limit your speed while downhill driving (engine braking)

Very nice video thank you. Two question please. I am looking in the iternet if cross has sunroof but they say no. In your video i see sunroof but i am not sure if you can open it or.. if it only the panoramic glass. Do you know anything about the sunroof if it is available or not. If i am right i think the head up display is availbale only in premier edition. You have it but you have adventure edition. So?
Hallo, You can not open the glassroof it is same as in my video 😪 Here I Switzerland this si like top version but in other countries may be different...you have to ask at dealers in your country from where you want to buy it. 👍

In UK it looks like you can only get the head up display with Premier Edition, but that spec does not allow for sunroof.

I'm thinking to get this for my wife as her first car - do you think it's a good, easy car to drive for a beginner? She has to drive about 60 km to work (and 60 back) each day, mostly motorway about 110 kmh. But we live in the centre and she needs something nimble for parking in tight spaces.

It's going to be my first car to go yo work (22 km each way) and It feels safety and easy to drive, i LOVE the HUD and the back adjustment.
What is the difference between yaris cross and yaris suspension? Is it big enough to be like in C-HR ???
Suspension are better on Cross and it is almost same like C-HR 👍

Good evening Dan. My name is Piet Stolk from the Netherlands. I am not that satisfied about the cross. I had a test-drive. . There is a lot of noise in the car, and when I compare it to the Kona this car is second best. You hear very clear when the petrol engine kicks in, the motor is a three cilinder pitter on the contrary with the Kona which is 4 cylinders, also the battery capacitiy of the Kona is larger ........ this car has other advantages it is lighter, so less taxes.........and it is more economical. But for the rest OK.

Hey, great review. I had this car on a test drive on friday and was sadly disappointed. As a ch-r (hybrid) owner i felt absolutely cramped in yaris cross, it was unbelievably uncomfortable. Even my friend, who wanted to check out the car and was seating in the passenger seat, was disappointed. However, its a nice car with great mileage but i think ill stick to my chr for the time being.
Come on. Compare Yaris Cross with CHR ??🤣 Yaris is Toyota Vitz. And C-hr is a Toyota Prius. Do you feel the difference?))
I'm a pretty big guy and I didn't feel cramped when driving.
I guess something for everyone. I was kinda set on a C-HR, but then decided to test drive both and decided I wanted a Yaris Cross hands down.
