Hi Mark congratulations on hitting one thousand subscribers and it's great to hear that you are doing the Chanel for the love of watches looks like life is good well done.the good thing you're Chanel dus is talking about the morality on owning expensive watches and compering that to other things in life. Other channels just go on about the actual watch but there's a lot more to talk about in watch collecting and your channel dus that thanks John.
So much of our modern world centres around optimisation to increase ROI and productivity. Really pleased to hear that you’re sticking with what you enjoy. Our fascination with, and love of watches is a hobby; it’s meant to be fun, and to feed a different part of the brain, whichever side of the camera you’re on. Of course, for some it’s become their livelihood, and that changes things, but if you’re lucky enough for this not to be the goal, just keep having fun Mark! I enjoy these light ‘conversions’ with another enthusiast. Thanks for the work you put in.
Thank you for the feedback. Like you, I need to feed that part of the brain that needs a release, you put it so well. For me it's watches, when i'm not out on the kayak. I know that's most of us, but YT channels often end up going where the clicks are.
Well done hitting 1000. Truth about the clickbait business. Same reason bad news sells newspapers. People love a bit of drama. Looking forward to future content for sure. Particularly the vintage related stuff. Cheers from Vancouver Canada!
Interesting what you mentioned about Rolex. After my cheap watch collecting phase in high school, I moved to Seikos and some cheaper vintage watches in college, then a decade later I branched to higher end watches (IWC, Omega, Zenith, JLC, VC, Blancpain) SPECIFICALLY to avoid Rolex and all the drama. Fast forward another decade and I've mostly settled onto Rolex for their simple rugged designs, perpetual classic good looks, and reliability.
Congratulations! I’ve enjoyed your videos, even the long ones. You actually got to 1k pretty fast, it seems. Good job and best of luck going forward. 😊
Excellent rambling about how this works. That's why other TH-cam "watch reviewers" headline their videos like, "Pagani Design better than Rolex?" I prefer your style much better than TH-camrs pushing paid promotion AliExpress copies.
Congratulations Mark 🎉🎉🎉 well deserved my friend, your videos are calm, well thought and you are a true watch enthusiast like most of us. Keep the good work coming
It is sad that negativity sells, just look at the papers, good news isn't news, then we wonder why everyone is getting depressed. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with, don't worry about the length, some people have very short attention spans, don't pander to them 😁
Yes it's been like this for a while in society generally hasn't it, that people have had bad news and negativity forced upon them by the media. But if we all stopped buying in to it, then it wouldn't be thrust upon us, so it's self perpetuating in some respects. Thanks for sticking it out with me!
Another couple of thousand views and you can get your hair cut Mark !! ha ha. Rolex negativity clickbait plays right into the hands of the keyboard warrior rolex hater. But hang on a minute do they really hate the famous coronet on the dial , no of course they dont its just bloody envy / jealousy / call it what you will because they cant just pop into the AD and buy one like back in the day. Anyway , just ramble on about whatever takes your fancy on the day, some I comment on some I dont , but I always look forward to your next video.
Thanks Keith and I enjoy your sharp witty comments! btw I wouldn't waste money on getting my hair cut. I cut my own hair, with a set of clippers I've had for years. Hair, balls and back all in one go, for free!!!

Oh no no no. My mum taught me manners. I’m watching from start to end.
I appreciate you keeping it modest and honest! I like the ideology behind it.
Thank you for the like-minded manners! Finish what you start I say! Cheers!

Or "this watch is a Rolex killer"! That's my favorite! Thanks 😊

At first glance I thought you are Anthony Farrer with white hair but wait, he was already arrested
! 😅
No it's me! I escaped to New Zealand by Air Ponzi
Congratulations on your new job as a professional TH-camr!
Haha thanks! Full time, but not professional maybe!
Congratulations
Please don’t listen to the people telling you to make shorter videos. They aren’t true fans. Who would want less content and less analysis?
Well that's what I think too, plus the rushed, heavily edited videos make me dizzy and hypo!
mate, how good does your deck look.
We are perched on the side of a small gully, so had to layer our back yard with 3 decks and steps to link them. It's a calming place.
If you want to review a Hamilton for example then label it as “is this Hamilton better than a crappy Rolex !” Job done 👍🏼
Yes or "Rolex killer"

Click bait eh
How old are you? You look too young to be retired 😂
I'm not retired, but I am kind of trialling it to see if I like it! I'm 50 btw, so got a few more years earning to do yet!
@@TheRandomWatchDude definitely don't look 50 😂 congratulations on the milestones so far 🎊
@@barkmark Thanks and Thanks! 😅
