    After watching this Saturday, it’s been lurking about in my head, in the background. I’ve had to watch it again,
    This video is awesome.
    Having a little haha moment, on the 2 nd time of watching. Quite an eye opener talking about expectations. This , has Made me realise, actually. I am loyal. I am kind. I am super sensitive. So some of my red lights are because I expect others, to be loyal, and kind, therefore I Am hurt when they aren’t. So again, it’s re-parenting Little Lizzie.

    Beliefs are stored in subconscious and very often hidden from us. We say one thing and we do another and then we are baffled why life is not working for us. If you uncovered your core beliefs you can change them now, just as you are saying David, otherwise you will will be constantly wondering why you do what you do, if you get to that stage. I appreciate your teaching David and I not always agree with your form of delivery. Get easier on people because people are unconscious to their own beliefs.

    I've always agreed with trying to have conversations about expectations and agreements with others so that we understand each other. The hardest part for me has been parents who believed they "had the right" to shame and punish me to such an extreme that I consider abuse. My inner child says things like "its not worth trying to have those conversations with other people. Don't bother".

      Hi Michelle,
      Thanks for your comments.
      Relationships and conversations are a two-way street, you cannot maintain without the other sides participation.
      I would suggest you consider working on your own emotional reaction in these challenging parental situations because that is something you can affect and control.
      David

      David, I agree. This is another case of my inner child not wanting to accept my parents' unwillingness or inability to participate in these conversations.

    I guess I am in the striving mode too. Today is Easter and I expected to see my mom but she had other plans. It made me sad but why would I expect anything different? When a person shows you how they are believe them. A person can only give you what they have. But it's still sad.

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Monique,
      Thank you for sharing your story, I would ask you to meditate on why you would choose to create sadness when the person is giving you what they have?

    ADVISE PLEASE: if your parents are emotionally abusive, critical and negative and overprotective, wanting to know everything in your life and nozy, still control me at 41 shall i distant myself and get my core beliefs and theraphy, shall I tell them unless you speak to me with respect i will not have a relationship

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Hayley,
      Thanks for your question (I'm replying to the first unedited version of your post).
      As you will appreciate it would be inappropriate for me to comment on personal issues without full knowledge, history and background. Therefore I can only comment in general terms.
      From the information you have shared with me, the first Golden Thread Process question I would ask yourself is "Why do I choose to let my parents still control me at 41 years old?"
      I believe that when you understand your core thinking and belief that support that statement the way you handle your relationship with your parents will become much clearer.

    Intention comes from the Latin _in-_ "towards" and _tendere_ "stretch; tend" even the roots of this word show a growth mindset.

    Stand this thing about expectations to a point but if you are for example a project leader and you are being paid to meet various expectations for your job and money how are you supposed to deal with that if things don't happen in the way that you are intending to. Things like a pandemic of course people somewhat can understand although of course there are legal issues and things that impact vary greatly if certain expectations don't happen but even during non pandemic times if you don't have expectations for intentions how can you do with that

    First of all, thank you for great videos. I’ve been learning so much from you. Here’s my question.
    Child abuse has become a big problem in Japan. I can’t understand why on earth would parents would hurt their child. How would you describe what might be going on in the minds of those parents?

      Hi after16years,
      We are very pleased that you are enjoying our videos.
      Thank you for your question, I don't think there's a 'one size fits all' answer.
      I believe you would have to investigate each case on an individual basis and in my professional experience emotional education is always involved.
