- New project. Made video for myself to not forget actual readings. Most likely sprag f1 is bad. Its too cold in NYC now so I don't know when I will remove this tranny for diagnostics. But I really want to take it apart before making a conclusion. Rebuilt 722.3s and 722.6s before but this one shows a bit bizarre problem then usual.

Change the conductor plate and solenoids, filter, oil (flush all of it), and clean the pan and magnet.
There are many many videos on youtube on how to do this. All parts available on ebay for little money.
Dealer will charge $2K to do it.
In this tranny clutch pack totally failed, all the way to metal. After I took tranny out and disassembled it, after calculating prices for parts, I decided to just replace it with used unit. It works now. Selling parts from old transmission now
my guess is crud in the pan .. sucks into the filter blocking flow..when shut off the wash back of fluid to the pan will partly wash the clog back out until sucked up again. I'm checking the next few parts of your series to see if I'm correct. Fingers crossed you only need to flush new fluid through and then change the filter.
I am experiencing the same thing right now before I install my new conductor plate my car was slam and drive when I put it in Drive since I put the conductor plate and it feel like it goes in limp mode so I cannot take it on the expressway I had to pedal to the floor does not move but all of a sudden it would take off for me and my check engine light is back on I even have in park and have the gas pedal to the floor and the car still will not accelerate sometimes

Victor, I replaced the plastic part to stop my shifter from getting stuck in park. Now my manual shift doesn’t work. There is a wire in the back of the console that is not connected. I can’t find where it goes back together. Do you know w which wire operates the manual shift?

This has happened to me on a C240 turned out to be a bad filter. If it’s making a pump whine noise when the issue is present I’d look at the filter.
chris clark Could be clogged filter thus no pressure is building inside tranny. I'm yet to remove the pan to look at filter. That would be first thing to check, then I will check valve body
UPDATE: internals seem to be OK. Watch other videos showing rust problem found inside this transmission

I have a similar problem on my 2002 s430. So you think it can be a bad filter?
