Tim definitely has the best touch of anyone on running the grapple and loaders!!! Experience shows. He’s earned his stripes and moving on with his career!!!
I had just told my wife that saw is letting you work in the comfort of ac. Saves the back and keeps you out of the heat of summer, and it's warm in winter. Providing safe work for you.
Tim that grapple saw is a time saver, back saver and possibly a life saver. Especially on a big ol bushy top like that with those big limbs holding it up. People don't realize how much tension those things are under. Cut the wrong limb with a chainsaw and she will roll right onto you. I lost a good friend that was a lifelong logger just that way. After he didn't come home that afternoon he was found around midnight after a huge limb had crushed his head. Anytime you can minimize the dangers I say it's worth every penny....plus its cool as hell lol.
Anybody complaining about you buying that setup must have never limbed trees in the south during the summer. I like that head, it seems to have better control than others I've seen
So nice to see a master tree feller at work! And the Rotobec is a real game-changer! Not cheap by any means, but not nearly as expensive as a Back operation! Compared to my Tree Shear, the productivity of the Grapple Saw for clearing Locust looks amazing!
The reason he got this people, is because as you get older you work smarter... Awesome piece of machinery... I'm so glad for you... It's also a lot safer.... Congrats
the new machine is a monster, fast and safe, keeping you out of the danger zone is worth the price to say nothing about the labor savings and increased production.
That grapple is awesome, I’m proud for you that will make life a lot easier. I may look at a Hyundai when I upgrade my Volvo 88. I would do more tree work if I had that grapple!
You do residential tree work like a logger would! You feed your chipper with the grapple on a mini just like its done on a logging job instead of 3 or 4 ground men hand feeding a chipper. The grapple saw lets you cut up and buck everything instead of doing it on the ground with a chain saw. People just don't understand what they don't know. I will choose the cab when ever possible. Nice work!
Well, That's crazy why people would ask , why you got the saw !! lololol... I'll just say, "Here's Ya Sign" !! lololol.. There are just so many plus factors for having it, I think your whole set up is about as perfect as one could ask for.... Great Video Tim, Be safe out there !! Have a Great Day....
You the man, I can't understand why anyone would question your motive. First time messaging! love watching the videos, only get to see them late at night. Thanks
The question they should be asking is why not. Just like you said”cause I’m in here in the a/c in a quiet cab not tripping all over the tree while running a saw.” Basically! The question is why wouldn’t you have it?!? 🤷🏽 I am a soil scientist in Georgia and I use a kx-18 kubota mini to dig test pits. Why would I want to hand dig holes 4-6’ deep when I can dig with an excavator. Work smarter not harder.
We'll the simple answer is the attachment alone is $50,000. Plus installation another 10,000 with parts. Do you know how many yard trees you have to cut down to even break even on that machine?
We’ve always had a saying that it’s easy to be hard but it’s hard to be smart. Why work harder when you can work smarter and that grapple seems pretty smart to me.
You're totally correct about the safety factor. Walking through all those branches,, with a running chainsaw.. Yeah that's not dangerous?? Great way to take a trip to the Emergency room.. Have a fantastic rest of the week Tim.
Have always loved the shade that the pine trees provide but hate the pine cones that go EVERYWHERE and have to constantly be picked up or the mover deck flings them at a hundred miles an hour
Thank you for sharing !!! The new excavator I love it !!! My dream someday !!! Your a very talented individual God Bless you and your family !!! ❤🙋♂️👍😊
That’s what I’m talking about!! That grapple saw is the best!! I would come work for you but you said only you and Kevin could run it. But if you change your mind let me know 😂
Very cool I understand because it saved you time my question how does the ram5500 pull your new Excavator keep up the awesome work on your TH-cam channel
It's getting ready to get ridiculously hot outside in a few months. That being said, anyone of the keyboard warrior critics would much rather push a button in the a/c vs pull that gatortail trigger in the heat.
Hay Mr Tim, how much money does safety cost. Getting away from a downed tree for limb work has to be a huge safety factor for you or anyone in the industry. I just don’t get why some folks complain about what kind of equipment you buy too do your job.
Having that to cut the limbs off is cheaper than if you cut by a saw and you are out of work for a while some people just don’t think before they say something and you can get your work done faster and can move on to another job so in the long run you are saving yourself money
People asking why pay 40k for a grapple saw... just have them pay payroll on about 5- 10 guys a year with Worker's Comp.. and matching their taxes. If somebody came up with the machine that can "limb-anate" that I wouldn't give a darn if it is 140k. I'm buying it.
All those years in the woods cutting for your dad has prepared you for this exact moment and season in life! Hope you have continued success!

Thought it was cool to hear your process while cutting and moving the tree around, great vid. Cheers !
Glad you enjoyed it
OMG cant believe the saw cuts between the claws fantastic
The reason he got this people, is because as you get older you work smarter... Awesome piece of machinery... I'm so glad for you... It's also a lot safer.... Congrats
Thank you for sharing this with us Tim. I look forward to future videos of you guys with this equipment in action.

That tree was full of pine cones , good thing you got the rake for the mini

Thank u sir, you too.
What a game changer for this type of work.. This is check mate level chess
You are exactly right
You the man, I can't understand why anyone would question your motive. First time messaging! love watching the videos, only get to see them late at night. Thanks
You're the best at bore cutting I ever saw.... impressive 😊
Gabe is coming along great. You are teaching him well. New machine is great also.
The sound of chain saws always brings excitement to viewers
That is awesome tool congratulations

Yes…a lot…but with that machine, his production is way up and his safety is way up. Win/win!
That pile looks like a good place to use a couple of straw bales and some cherry flavored fire water.
It wouldn’t take much to get a fire going there.
We’ve always had a saying that it’s easy to be hard but it’s hard to be smart. Why work harder when you can work smarter and that grapple seems pretty smart to me.
Amazing machine. Skilled operator.

That attachment is awesome! It’s worth every penny imo!

What a bad ass tractor. Congrats sir!!
Great job Tim and Gabe, that must make You're life so much easier Tim👌👍🙏🙂
Thank you for sharing !!! The new excavator I love it !!! My dream someday !!! Your a very talented individual God Bless you and your family !!! ❤🙋♂️👍😊
That machine is AWESOME!!
I think so too!
Just look at all them brown Easter Eggs
Tim I'm so happy you've got machones etc to make your job easier work smarter not harder. Love watching your videos every day.
My goodness what a sweet setup! Next upgrade? Bigger chipper or you're all good now?
Congratulations on your awesome new equipment. I say, If you can afford it, why not.
normal work, very cool
Giving that saw a workout! Looks good.
Right on 👍🏻
That’s what I’m talking about!! That grapple saw is the best!! I would come work for you but you said only you and Kevin could run it. But if you change your mind let me know 😂
You got it cause you wanted it. End of story. Doesn't take a genius to see how much labor saver it is.
Really impressive machine!
Well Tim that’s a game changer just how much pain is that going to save you over the next few years unfortunately we don’t get any younger 🤷🏻♂️😁
Very true 👍🏻
Pine cones. Best fire starter!!
Very cool I understand because it saved you time my question how does the ram5500 pull your new Excavator keep up the awesome work on your TH-cam channel
It doesn’t even know it’s behind it.
I say the more tools you have in your toolbox is the way too go as long as you know how to use them! And you definitely do….
Absolutely
The grapple saw is awesome.
It's getting ready to get ridiculously hot outside in a few months.
That being said, anyone of the keyboard warrior critics would much rather push a button in the a/c vs pull that gatortail trigger in the heat.
Have you tried to clamp the jaws loosely on to the to of the tree and slide the jaws along the length of the tree to shear all the branches off?
You don't need to justify to others. You aren't in harms way
That’s cheating😂
I like stacking the cards in my favor lol

🤫grapple saw = Work smarter, not harder!
The "Limb Reaper" reapin' 👍👍
You can not here the saw at all. In the cab.

Awesome Job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
you got it because you wanted it
👍
Said the person that’s never waded off in the top of a huge pine.
Truth lol
😎
How you like that saw
Wow
I get it
I knew you would lol
Michines
Do you know why Jason Hollis stopped putting videos on TH-cam
Yes sir.
I have been wondering the same thing. Watched his daily post every morning.
One of the last few videos he posted explains the situation. Currently they still haven’t been able to get back monetized.
Save your back? It's a young man's game. But where are they. Old man cotton top pulls out the cash and keeps going. Am I wrong.
Roll on cotontop, how about an American flag somewhere on the boom
