Your music has touched my heart and soul for decades. You have played a pivotal role in my life with your music. Your lyrics dance on my heart. I have also had a crush on you since junior high. 😂 I am 62 years old now and I love your music more each day. I’m sorry for the loss of your band member and good friend. Bless you and thank you for what you have done for this world 💜🙏🤗 Kristin Stanley from Paso Robles, California loves you 💕🎶🎼🎤💃😘😻🌻🪷🧘♂️🕉️
I am from Brazil but I lived in San Diego, California, in 1974. I remember that I bought 3 of your records and listened to your songs all day long, after have seen the movie Harold and Maude many times. So beautiful songs! Thank you Yusuf/Cat Stevens
I have always allowed your words and music to live in my heart. My heart is old like yours is so the words and music have lived there for a long time. Peace, love & kindness to you and yours Yusuf, my Cat Stevens!
I remember this growing up. My older sister had Yusuf's records. She introduced me to this music, which I enjoy to this day. Sadly, my sister is gone. Listening to this brings back a lot of good memories.
My dear Cat,yo will always be my love....your songs are some of the very best in music history!...❤from Colombia where I can still hear your songs on the radio...
Do you remember meeting a Blonde headed little girl in Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ in the 1970's ❓️ You were soooo Sweet n kind to me 🩷 You told me to tell my older Brother that I met you. He said I was full of Crapp. He never believed me. 😞
Yusuf, my friend, sadly I lost my hard my hard-headed woman of 50 years on 10/31/22. I played “How Can I Tell You?” until my tears ran dry. We loved your music and we need it now more than ever. We need to derail the war machines and jump on the Peace Train. Thanks for all the music that took us where our hearts wanted to go ✌️❤
Losing a loved one is one of life's hardest lessons. 😭❤️ I lost my father on 10/19/22 (I'm British, and I assume you're American, by your date formatting),.
Thank you for writing a ballad so long ago for righteous and strong women that won't back down for truth and a man that recognized that so long ago. A tribute to righteous women of love that fight against the odds, so the worldy would say even today, lucky enough, then like now worthy men that love them and respect them for never bowing down to the angry lies.
Je suis française. Cette chanson là, je ne la connaissais pas.... Mais j'y retrouve tout ce que j'aime : la gravité, l'intensité, la passion et cette voix si particulière, chargée d'émotion contenue.
What a voice, what a song! I've been a fan since the 70s and saw you in London some years back and the relevance and beauty of the songs becomes more lucid over time.
I still listen to my Cat Stevens music almost every week maybe every day, as well as playing it on my guitar, It's helped me through some difficult times when I was teenager, Thank you Yusuf
Vous me rappeler toujours mon defunt mari paix à son âme 😢😢😢😢 Vous faites partie de mes beaux Souvenirs Sans comprendre vos chansons je pleure J ai 62 ans
So many people address you directly as you, Yusuf, and send you so much love and blessings.Subhanallah wa maa shaa Allah. This doesn't happen with anyone else. Not even Bob Dylan.
I got so hooked on the music of Cat Stevens that I ended up looking like him. I had similar hair, the Mediterranean looks and I trimmed my beard to match his. Where we differed was in the music; He could write, sing and play. All I could do was strum my acoustic guitar. That was enough. When you have a music icon all you need is two ears and an open heart. His best album, for me, is still Foreigner. Mona Bone Jakon at no. 2 and Tea For The Tillerman at no. 3. But in truth all his (your) albums are classics. I still have the vinyls (including the early double album, The View From The Top)) I bought in the 70s and they'll probably be buried with me. Peace to you, Steven Georgiou and long life. Your legacy is already assured.
So great and talented you are brother Yusuf-Cat!! Love you sir! Love how you play & sing with your eyes closed to better connect to the spirit of music!! Haven't listened to this tune in a while and brings back great memories of the 1970's. Your songs will live on forever as your lyrics will always be relevant!!!
I′m looking for a hard headed woman One who will take me for myself And if I find my hard headed Woman I won't need nobody else No, no, no I′m looking for a hard headed woman One who will make me do my best And if I find my hard headed woman I know the rest of my life will be blessed Yes, yes, yes I know a lot of fancy dancers People who can glide you on a floor They move so smooth but have no answers, whoh When you ask them, "What d'you come here for?" "I don't know" "Why?" I know many fine feathered friends But their friendliness depends on how you do They know many sure fired ways To find out the one who pays And how you do. I′m looking for a hard headed woman One who will make me feel so good And if I find my hard headed woman Wo, I know my life will be as it should Yes yes yes. I′m looking for a hard headed woman One who will make me do my best And if I find my hard headed woman . . .
It's been almost 50 years that I've wished to apologize for being an irritating photographer at your Massey Hall Toronto concert. I don't at all blame you for wanting to introduce me to you green wellies. Point taken ~ after that I dumped my camera and opened my ears for all concerts.
Lovely to hear your voice this day, Yusuf. Thank you 💜
His songs, all, speak to my soul. Such a truly gifted man and gentle in spirit.
I was in high school here in Florida in the 1970s and we all loved your music. I still do.
