THE BEST WAY to rope drop DCA in my experience and I don't live in CA so I'm only there a few or couple days at a time is this: 1. Do Guardians FIRST bc Everyone always goes to Carsland first and 99% of the time it's not even open. Or if it is open, it's already an hour long wait. 2. Go to Incredicoaster. The wait will be like 15 to 20 mins. Max half hour at this time. 3. NOW you're gonna want to hit Carsland for Radiator Racers. SINGLE RIDER line. Just split up your party or ask other single riders in line to switch with you. It's not a big deal to split up. You'll all have the same experience anyway. 4. Midway Mania is for late Night Riding..about 40mins before the park closes the wait time drops to about 15 mins. Now in-between Steps 3 and 4 is where you do everything else and just enjoy your day. Follow this and I PROMISE you won't need Genie+ and you'll have a stress free day at DCA!! 😉
We did something similar... Monster's Inc, Guardians, Ferris wheel, Pixar Pier, and then car's land. We missed out on a few Pixar rides, but got my son's favorite Soaring in 4 times that night. Such a great ride!
Im just here to thank you for not only the park tips and tricks, but for taking the time out to let people like me know that we matter. I struggle a lot with depression and the only thing that keeps me going is my son. I’m planning a trip to Disney in a couple months and I’ve watched all your videos and it always gets me when you stop and talk to us. I don’t know why, but a lot of the times I watch your video after having a few hard days and then I hear your message and I’m just thankful for it.❤
@@chelseahasflowers Thank you Chelsea. Wishing you all the best in the new year 💕. I’m so excited to take him and I’m going to be so ready after watching all these videos.
@mzsantana87 I am wishing you the absolute best 2023 as well! And you two will have such an amazing time, full of joy and memories! I am so excited for you two!! ✨️💖💜 I am going late Spring and caaaant waaait!! Here's to a new year and new opportunities and memories!
We always do single rider lanes where ever offered. At Radiator Springs Racers I was in the single rider lane and waited about 10 minutes. I was seated with a family who was complaining that they had waited for 2 hours! Hmm... 10 minutes vs. 2 hours. Of course if you have little kids with you that isn't going to work. The only exception for single rider is Soarin', where single rider lane can actually be longer than just normal standby.
One of the attractions that people always seem to miss is Mickey's PhilharMagic. It's such a fun show for all ages and there's never a wait and it starts every 10 minutes. The theater is just amazing with some of the best surround sound I've ever heard.
Just stumbled upon this video. I’ve seen you in other Disney related videos and I’ve always found you very entertaining and genuine! The segment in this video where you talk “to” me/the viewers…reminding us how much we matter…literally made me break down in sobbing tears. This past year has been a nightmare. My wife’s health is deteriorating. She has a cancerous mass in her throat, a hernia lodged in between her lungs and her stomach, she has gastritis and battles with seizures on a near daily basis. We have never been to Disneyland before so we love watching everyone’s Disneyland related videos on TH-cam. Your words really hit hard. Needless to say my wife and I have been struggling like crazy. We are behind on our rent due to all our money going toward her medical bills, food has been sparse in the fridge…we are really, really struggling. I say all of this to say…thank you for your videos. They are fun and bring so much joy to our household! Seeing the joy of Disneyland through your videos is so much fun (we’ve never been to Disneyland and probably will never have a chance to go due to cost). Maybe one day in the far-off future, I’ll be able to take my wife on the magical vacation she deserves, to Disneyland! Thank you again for your kind words of affirmation and for your fun videos!
Hello Chris and family! I’m sure you won’t see this notification but I still wanted to leave this comment anyway because I have some exciting news! 1. The cancerous mass in my wife’s throat is completely gone! 2. The hernia between her lungs and her stomach is shrinking! Things are finally looking up for her and her health! Not to mention, some gracious and generous individuals decided to take it upon themselves and bless us with one day at Disneyland and one day at California adventure (as a way to not only celebrate the improvement of my wife’s health but also to give as a well deserved two-day break from life)! We have never been to either park before due to finances so this will be an amazing opportunity for us to see everything, experience it all and make wonderful memories! We will be going to DCA this week (Friday) and can’t be more excited!! Thanks to you and your videos, we feel pretty prepared to conquer the park! 😂 Anyway, just wanted to share this bit of news with you. Thank you again for all you do and who you are! Thanks for your videos! I’m coming with my husband from Australia at the end of the year and watching your videos will help us plan our Disney trip better, but they’re just fun and exciting to watch!
When I did magic morning I want to say I rode Incredicoaster first. I want say I was lucky as they had two cars going at the same time. It was one of my favorite rides. The other being the Little Mermaid. While I can appreciate Guardians, I wasn’t completely prepared for the drops and the weightless feeling really freaked my out. Like I knew it dropped but I didn’t know it would feel like I was going to fall out of my seat in the dark.
I remember my first DCA visit, now I'm a veteran of DCA. We always go to the main street route to go to Cars land sometimes in Avengers Campus route, But I do agree with you Chris with getting things done in a day thank you for the tips.

Perfect timing! We leave in a month for my kids' first trip to Disneyland and DCA. Thank you for putting the work in on such videos so I can try to have a vacation full of fun and only a few meltdowns. :)
Best way to experience DCA, take it slow enjoy your day by not stressing about rides, enjoy the lil shows and the delicious 🤤 food! But that was just lil family of 3 (wife and son of 3 yrs old). Besides that you gotta use LL and genie + to maximize your stay, unfortunately that’s how Disneyland is nowadays.
Hello Chris. My name is Drew Blackstone and I am a big fan of Provost Park Pass. I discovered Provost Park Pass. I discovered y’all when my wife and I were planning our trip to Disneyland last may. I have been a fan of Disney Food Blog but they are Florida centric and I live on the left coast. At first, I thought “Man, this guy is really annoying” but there was just something about it that drew me in. Then I realized, “This guy is a lot like me”. The more I watched, the more I got to digging you, Amanda, Miles, your whole crew, and your awesome guests. Your jokes and puns are right up my alley. I love your positive messages (They have helped me out on some bad days). Your episodes with Professor Andrew about the DAS Pass were game changers for me. Now comes the reason for this note. I am an actor (I don’t want to brag, but I do community theater). One of my first thoughts after I found PPP was “How can I get to be a guest on one of your episodes?”. I have a disability but there is no way I can be as cool as Professor Andrew. I am a member of Saber Guild (A club that does light saber choreography for charity) but you have Star Wars people who know way more than I do. Then it hit me (ow), you love canoes. I am a retired marathon canoe racer. I have a couple of buddies who do endurance canoe races. We are canoe “experts”. We could go over the basics of canoe racing and highlight the differences between recreational canoeing and racing. We can do a road trip (We live in the Seattle area) to Disneyland in the spring. It was the perfect plan. What could go wrong? I know this is a big ask, but can we meet you at Disneyland and be guest “experts” on your show? Late April is best, but we can do mid March if that doesn't work for you. If these times don’t work but another time will, we might be able to work something out. Don’t worry about saying no. I know you will be very nice about it because that’s how you roll. As I said, this is a big ask and I don’t know the protocol for this sort of thing so I just jumped in. Thanks for reading this and humoring me. Please let me know if you want to take the next step on my idea. As I said, please don’t worry about saying no (I don’t loose anything if you do). I look forward to hearing from you and to seeing your Iceland videos (Iceland has been on my travel bucket list for 40 years). Thank you, Drew Blackstone
I went on Soarin' early in the morning, and it was awesome! The wait was so short. I know it's not a big deal to some people, but I was delighted to find out that getting on the Pixar-Pal-Around first thing in the morning when the line is still really short, the Gondolla could be ridden by one party.
We took our 3 year old to Disney/DCA for the first time this past October. We loved it! I preferred Disneyland to DCA but I did love the Oogie Boogie bash and Cars Land! We stayed at GCH and rope dropped and booked it to Webslingers. Then we went straight to Radiator Springs right as the park was opening. We still waited in line for 45 min. It was a wonderful trip!
When DCA first opened, I was skeptical! Once I had a kid, I realized how much there is to do there and Disney definitely has made great developments there. I love it so much! Fun fact: the original letters that were in front of DCA that spelled, “CALIFORNIA” found a home in the state capital city of Sacramento-my home town!
Thank you for the video, and I am very relieved that I'm not the only one who calls it Radiacer Springs 🤣🤣 At this point, I've given up trying to get it right
Thank you do much for this video Chris cause we are going to Disney California adventure on Thursday 12, and Disneyland on Tuesday 17. That's not all our Daughter's boyfriend has never ben to a Disney park🥰
Hey Chris. New subscriber here. Thanks for all the helpful content. I'll be taking my family to Disney and DCA this March, 2023. I've got 3 girls (6 and under). Wondering if you could do a video, if you haven't already, about where to go to see all the Disney Princesses/characters (including Elsa and Anna - my kids favorites) in both parks. Also, could you do a video about the 2023 shows and parades and how to best watch them? Thanks!
If this is your priority in Disneyland at rope drop go to Fanasy Faire Royal hall to meet 3 or 4 in a row. Consider BibbidiBoppitty Boutique OR watch youtube for DIY styling your little princesses to save $. Storytellers Cafe at The Grand Californian also has an expensive princess meal, maybe in parks there's a meal, too.
I just got back from Disney vacation with my daughter. We had a great time, I used a lot of your videos for guidance and it really helped. Thank you so much
Bwahahahaha!!!! Boom, chicka, chicka, boom... Thank you so much for the highly talented musical outro! I love it!! I wish you could hear me giggling when you sing those! Thank you so much for the great content and smiles!! ❤️
It’s always a real treat to see another fun and fantastic video up from Provost Park Pass! Great tips for those who haven’t experience California Adventure. It usually it’s overshadowed by the original park, but it definitely has its many unique charms and magic! 😃✨
Just in time, Chris! Visiting in March with my family and I was swimming trying to find a good rope drop plan for DCA. I haven’t been in quite a few years and a lot has changed since then, so my knowledge is a little outdated for DCA. I tried to plot out a few of my own plans, but this video helped me straighten out the little details.
Here I am watching the video thinking “I already know all this”, and then you say that Guardians of The Galaxie ride has different music and drop sequences. How did I not know this??? 🤯 Thank you Chris for another brilliant vlog!
Happy New Year PPP!! At the end, I really like hearing you sing and it makes my days even better. I was just in Disneyland to close out 2022 with my friends and we rope dropped Cars ride first then we went to Guardians Of The Galaxy which worked out really good. DCA has gotten so much better with the addition of Avengers Campus and Pixar Pier and it makes me appreciate it even more. Your videos help me get prepared for upcoming Disney trips!! I look forward to much more content going into the new year!!
Each time we rope dropped Soarin' we stood in line for 10+ minutes before even entering the show building. No advantage that I've experienced thus far. Thoughts?
Your kind words were much needed! I would’ve subscribed at that time if I didn’t already subscribe immediately when I heard that lightning McQueen joke! Lol!
I just finished watching your walk though for Disneyland and this one, DCA, as I begin to plan my trip for early May this year. Thank you so much for giving us the tip and tricks for those who decide not to do a genie+ because then it puts it into a better perspective of what rides have to happen during golden hour.
I visited DCA the beginning of thanksgiving break and I went to Radiator Springs first and waited 3 hours. I understand the wait, but I will most definitely purchase lighting lane on my next visit 😂
DCA was always fun for me! The souvenir shopping was a lot of fun as well at the end of the day. Chris hit us pretty hard n heavy with the puns for the New Year. Great way to start it off Chris!!!!
Thanks for the tips! I had assumed that Web Slinger would be in hot demand since that's what I encountered earlier in the day in Paris, but it's good to know that we should prioritize Mission Breakout if we decide to go to Avengers Campus instead of Cars first thing!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Chris! I've been waiting for you to do this DCA since I saw your vlog last year about rope-drop advice for Disneyland. Xox and Happy New Year to you, Amanda & your son (So Sorry! Mental block on your son's name)!
Tip for all. When we were there in December, we had a Genie+ for Indiana Jones. Indie shut down and we got a free pass to another ride. Because Indie is considered a top tier ride, our pass worked for Guardians. If you get a free pass if Incredicoster goes down, you can Not use it for Guardians.
@elisharoberts1029 lamp light is good. We had the lobstar nachos a little too fishy for me personally. I've only eaten there once. We had cocktails there in August it was awesome because there was water in the lagoon this time. So reservations are released, I believe, 6am for Disneyland...so what I did was set an alarm and go in the 60 days prior to the date you want to go and you should be able to get a reservation. I did that for our August trip. we got a lamplight lounge, Oga's Cantina, blue bayou, Cafe Orleans, and the Tiki room. For our 5 days. Advice cut out a few 🤣
@@luvadventuresandart yeah my bf loved those nachos. I had a cheeseburger. Their mocktails are so good. Oh and the donuts. We were getting up at like 3 am to get reservations in 21. Last year we waited until 6 and they were just gone. Schwarma Palace is definitely on my must try list.
A good way to kill time if people got genie plus and are waiting for their time or just need a break: Mickey philharmagic and the animation academy. Especially the beast's library. Also the little mermaid usually has a short line.
now seeing Indicoaster from your video and im scared to ride now, seeing it on the app illustrated didn't think that much of it😅 reminds me of goliath from six flags with how big it looks from on the ground.
Great video and love the jokes as usual. Just a quick update web slingers is not a individual lightning Lane anymore, and a pro tip - never use single Rider at incredecoster always go for the regular line if not using genie+.
Just booked our trip over from the UK for Halloween. Been to Disneyland Paris and WDW, but this will be our first time at West Coast Disney! Your videos have definitely been a contributing factor to us coming and has helped immensely with the planning and tips! Coming for our 1st wedding anniversary and bringing our Dr Strange and Scarlet Witch costumes for(if we can get tickets!) our first Oogie Boogie Bash! If we get to meet you in the parks it’d make my year, just saying 😂

That's how we did it. Rode everything in one day. No Genie + needed. But Disneyland you need it.
Love your specifics! Single rider Webslingers and Grizzly River Run, too.
We did something similar... Monster's Inc, Guardians, Ferris wheel, Pixar Pier, and then car's land.
We missed out on a few Pixar rides, but got my son's favorite Soaring in 4 times that night. Such a great ride!

Super fun
I rode Mission breakout twice the last time I was DCA and I happened to get the same song XD lol.
So many good tips! These are all being noted for when we get to visit. Thank you for sharing ✨
Glad it was helpful!
Happy new year 🎊🎆🎈 chris and Amanda.
Oh the dad jokes are amazing. Thank you for being you, you always have a friend with the Arthur family in Australia
You are a beautiful person. Thank you for the "you are awesome...".
I went on Soarin' early in the morning, and it was awesome! The wait was so short. I know it's not a big deal to some people, but I was delighted to find out that getting on the Pixar-Pal-Around first thing in the morning when the line is still really short, the Gondolla could be ridden by one party.
Happy New Year Good Sir.
Hopefully I'll need this in 2024!!
Love that positivity
21:21 that’s cool 😎.
Thank you so much
You and Amanda are AWESOME!
I’m pretty sure that webslingers is on regular lightening lane/Genie plus now
Yay for more DCA love! It's still my favorite park.
VEGA!!!!!
Great video Chris!
Happy new year!
Happy New year 2023 🥳 🎉 🎊 my favorite Disneyland Park one fan Big 💖 Disney California Adventure Love my favorite one fan Big 💖💖💖⭐️⭐️⭐️🏰🎶
Just recently found this channel. Thank you for touching my heart with your kind words. So glad to be a new subscriber ❤
Yes, Co Co is easily in my top 5 Pixar Films. It's got such a great message and some amazing artwork and the songs are great as well.
Just in time, Chris! Visiting in March with my family and I was swimming trying to find a good rope drop plan for DCA. I haven’t been in quite a few years and a lot has changed since then, so my knowledge is a little outdated for DCA. I tried to plot out a few of my own plans, but this video helped me straighten out the little details.
i like your video😄
Thank YOU very much for this Video and your positivity! You are amazing! Keep going 🎉🤓
Here I am watching the video thinking “I already know all this”, and then you say that Guardians of The Galaxie ride has different music and drop sequences. How did I not know this??? 🤯
Thank you Chris for another brilliant vlog!
I look forward to much more content going into the new year!!
lol LOVE the end credits improv
The radiator springs uniform is lowkey the best lol
Each time we rope dropped Soarin' we stood in line for 10+ minutes before even entering the show building. No advantage that I've experienced thus far. Thoughts?
First! We just vlogged there!
You always bring a smile to my face. Thank you for all you do 😊
You’re so welcome. 💚💙
Happy 🎉2023! Looking forward to all your amazing tips and making a challenging year a little easier and sweeter for everyone 💕🍦🍭
Good video❤
I visited DCA the beginning of thanksgiving break and I went to Radiator Springs first and waited 3 hours. I understand the wait, but I will most definitely purchase lighting lane on my next visit 😂
I had a great experience at DCA in June 2022, wish I had this info then. Cars ride was closed and I was so disappointed to miss it!
Thank you!!
Great video 👌
Thank you. 💙💚
Happy New Year!
What a great video, very informative. Love the jokes
How do you suggest a day like this for Toddlers?
I honestly think that the best desert is the funnle cake fries at Award wieners. The Chicken swarma is the best food we have had in DCA
Lamp Light Lounge was our favorite in 21. In 22 we couldn't get a reservation to save our lives.
@elisharoberts1029 they don't post at 3 am. I was also doing that. That's WDW. If not 6AM, maybe it was 5AM
is there a video on the best way to do park hop from Disneyland? like what rides to do in order at California adventure?
A good way to kill time if people got genie plus and are waiting for their time or just need a break: Mickey philharmagic and the animation academy. Especially the beast's library. Also the little mermaid usually has a short line.
now seeing Indicoaster from your video and im scared to ride now, seeing it on the app illustrated didn't think that much of it😅 reminds me of goliath from six flags with how big it looks from on the ground.
I look for my name at end ...it goes by so fast but i ❤️ being included
Web slingers is no longer an individual lightning lane! It’s part of genie plus now 🎉
thank u
3,2,1 GO
I’m so upset, Radiator Springs Racers is going to be closed when I am there. How much if the theming can you still see without riding the ride?
It really depends on how much they have blocked off. Still walking around cars land is awesome. Especially at night.
Great video and love the jokes as usual. Just a quick update web slingers is not a individual lightning Lane anymore, and a pro tip - never use single Rider at incredecoster always go for the regular line if not using genie+.
What gimbal do you use to record your videos?
A hohem
Thank you
You should do a top 10 DCA rides by the numbers
Is Cars Land close to the back door DCA entrance for Pixar Pier Hotel guests who come in early?
No it's on the other side of the Park, but you can get there quickly.
How exciting! We would love to meet you!!!
