Great video, thank you. I am just about to reach the stage on an extension to my layout where I am building the platform. I was just going to buy a Metcalfe kit but have been inspired to try this now. Thanks, again. Robert
I'm really glad you enjoyed it Robert! I had a lot of fun building them like this. The method isn't much different from building a metcalfe kit, but I feel that adding the plastikard and slabs bring the card platforms to life. I look forward to seeing it on your layout! Joe
Much cheaper to use drawing pins, which will be removed once ballasted. Easier to move track aswell if I'm not happy with the current track alignment. Cheers, Joe

That platform is stunning! Great work on the difficult curve to, you have more patience than me 😆👍🚂
Thanks! Ahaa my patience was certainly tested, halfway through I was wondering what on earth had I started! 😂
nice platform good tip using rocket glue for metcalfe slabs as not really that sticky, as after a while they will come unstuck...............tony
Thanks Tony! Yes the adhesive on the slabs just doesn't cut it in my opinion but with Roket I've had no issues

Thanks Adam! Really appreciate that! Joe
What a fantastic job, loving those slab packs... very realistic! What is the glue you are using?
Thanks Sean. I use Roket Card Glue, a little pricey but extremely reliable. Definitely the best stuff for card modelling
Why are you using large-pins to hold down the track? Hornby does do actual track pins that actually almost invisible.
Much cheaper to use drawing pins, which will be removed once ballasted. Easier to move track aswell if I'm not happy with the current track alignment. Cheers, Joe
Dudley Central ok.
