They should also invest in some torpedo captures, cause the amp facing the wall to deal with volume on every stage not only looks weird but can’t be fun for the sound person either

I didn't think the mix sounded toooo bad, and obviously the sound checks would have been done for the rig that they were using on the day, not your whatever you listened to it on and may not have had a post mix.. It didn't overly stand out as being bad anyway and i actually liked the rawness of the singing, but then again... I'm not like a massive snail mail fan or anything and haven't seen a load of her other live shows And also my opinion is subjective to me of course! So fair enough mate Also i just remembered, i think she damaged her vocal chords some time before this show, maybe that explains it i dunno
i really think the issue with her voice is just some unconscious decision she made, starting with lush, to sing in a more goofy, improvised manner which makes it sound terrible. listen to her performance from audiotree 6 years ago. i think her youth and nervousness there made her sing straightforward, keeping the melody intact with her trying to hit all her notes for the most part with not much deviation or improvisation. she sounds wonderful there. fastforward to lush, and i think she got very comfortable with her fame and started feeling herself and was like, im gonna improvise during performances to make it more artistic, except she doesn't have the voice to pull that off. i really wish she would keep things simple and try to hit her notes. she has a great voice in terms of how expressive and emotive it can be, but its not a good technical voice. i love her music but man i would never pay to see her live in her current state of performing.
According to Rolling Stone, she's a better guitarist than Yngwie Malmsteen, Billy Strings, Buckethead, Bumblefoot, Herman Li, and Don Felder. Someone make it make sense please!
