@@kashika_strawberry.lipstic4624 yeah Ik it’s just simple syrup is the equal parts, that’s just a syrup type thing. But it’s all good lol everyone does something different
I didn't have an ice cream maker so I tried the bowl-in-freezer method that Laura suggested and it still turned out amazing! The texture was great! Next time I'll need to double the recipe! Keep it up Laura you are AMAZING!
When doibg the stir-in-a-bowl method, something i found out while experimenting is that when it is near completion, like your 5th stir, you put it in the blender to be smoother and it gets rid of some of the ice particles. Ten you freeze it again for about 30-45 min or so and it is done :)
Guys if you don't have an ice cream maker; Get your mangoes and peel, freeze them in a bag, once frozen put them in a blender, you're looking for a solid texture when they're frozen, whilst blending add your lemon and simple syrup. Another thing, if you don't want to add simple syrup look for mangoes that have yellow skin, they are sweet naturally. Be careful, as you may struggle to peel and de-pit them because they are super soft, stick to Laura's method in taking off the "cheeks" of the mango 😂😂😂😂😂 good luck!
Me :) The lemon w mango sounds so good but mango is sweet enough on its own why the need for sugar syrup? Blitz frozen mangoes and the lemon juice. Freeze. Done.
OMG i love how many videos u make!!!its so much fun to watch u i never get bored. it shows how dedicated u r to ur subscribers!!dont stop makin vids!!!
a tip for slicing mangoes, is that you should cut it from the side where you can see the stem part. the diameter of the stem thing is the width of the seed. :)
Hi Laura I'm from Jamaica and we use a sharp knife to peel the skin of the mango and cut as much of the flesh off and throw out the seed. Love the recipe though well try especially because its summer #hot (Y)
I live in west Africa and there are various species of mango over here.some are big some are as small as lemons some go yellow or red when ripe and some stay green but are ripe. So the colour depend on the ripeness and different species have slightly different flavors.
Simple syrup is basically dissolved sugar. You can make it yourself with water and sugar. In a pan, add your sugar and water, then heat it up and stir. You want the sugar to dissolve, but don't caramelize it.
Great recipe for mango sorbet is to just chop the mangoes up and freeze them or you can even just buy frozen mangoes. When frozen, put into a blender with the simple syrup and orange juice. Blend it and you'll have easy mango sorbet! Works well with frozen strawberries and raspberries too!
If anyone doesn't know wat simple syrup is, its just sugar and water. Basically u get the same amount of sugar and water depending on how much u wanna make! Pour them into a pan and put them on a low heat then stir until all the sugar has dissolved but sure it dosnt caramelise.
I use my Vitamix and frozen mango chunks. It only takes about an hour in the freezer after and you get an amazing silky smooth texture. A little short cut for people who have a Vitamix :)
I always cool the mix in the fridge, and then transfer it to the freezer in a container, and stir it/break all the ice cystals with a fork every 30 minutes or so for about 3 hrs (so that's 6 times stirring). The ice crystals won't be as small as when you would be using a machine, but it will work and taste yummy :) good luck!
I found an awesome way to make Ice Cream without the Ice Cream machine and still have the same texture. Make the recipe in a metal bowl and freeze the bowl and the whisk attachments for your electric beater for 4-5 hours. After 4-5 hours beat it until creamy serve it immediately or leave it to freeze
Equal parts of water and sugar. Boil for about 5 minutes until the sugar dissolves completely. Then let it cool. It's usually to sweeten cold drinks and mixtures where sugar alone would not dissolve properly.
definitely. it's delicious but since you get so little you'll probably have to add some oj or something to bulk it up. it's so strong it won't matter though.
Simple syrup is water and sugar boiled and cooled. She does this to prevent grains of sugar at the bottom . It also helps it keep the sorbet smoothe. Hope that helped!
Use an ordinary spoon to scoop out the flesh instead of trying to peel back the skin with your fingers. It's much easier, cleaner and you don't waste as much fruit trying to tear off the peel. For people who don't have an ice cream machine, freeze the mango pieces and then use a blender to combine everything (some food processors doesn't crush ice).
I love this women so much she make me want cook more stuff i never tried before i love cook now because her and some chefs but mostly her. thank you so much Laura xx :D
you can also use a potato peeler and peel the mango so u can get the maximum amount of your fruit and if you feel as if the mango is to juicy to handle put it on a plate in the fridge for a couple of minutes and should harden a bit the surface :]
I don't understand how people who watch the video's are completely not hearing her say that the recipe's are on her website. She says it in every video. all you have to do is click the link. Pretty simple. Takes two seconds.

ok Laura so I did this recipe, twas delicious thanks for that and also, mangoes have a seed, and you can just peel it first with a knife before slicing it up.
Of course you can! Cooking is all about getting a base recipe, and then EXPERIMENTING! :D You'd probably want, if using strawberries or raspberries, is to use quite a few.
Try half a pinch of salt in the coffee filter, before you brew it. If it's the right ammount all of the bitterness will vanish. The coffee aromas will increase... hopefully :) It's important not to take too much though. Trail and error worked for me anyways.
if you don't have an ice cream maker, just take a big bowl of ice. Put your coolie inside a zip lock bag. Make sure to remove all of the air and seal it tightly. Put a lot of salt in the bowl full of ice and place the bag right in the middle. Leave it for a few hours and voila..you got yourself some ice cream.

That mango is not ripe enough!! To be able to tell if you squeeze the mango with the skin on it should be slightly soft

Recipe looks good, but you are not using ripe mango, in order to get the real flavor you got to use ripe fruit, but it is very difficult to find them.
best thing to do is just buy lots of fruit to eat and make sorbet with what's leftover once they've gone too ripe
its not hard i find them every where
