Penalty’s and Chaos Takes Over Lobby in Forza Motorsport

- As a Noob to sim racing, I thought I'd share my Forza Touring Car experiences, my wins, my loses and my wtf moments. I try to explain my thought process and hopefully provide you with a learning guide or useful tips.
My strategy is simple, stay alive at all cost. We all know Forza Motorsport can be a little chaotic at times. I hope with a more passive tactic, I can swoop in and take the position. While also improving my own skills as a sim racing driver.
Track learning is key, hopefully by reviewing my race choices and my mistakes, I can help others learn and improve upon their lap times. Thus making the racing world more fun and competitive.
I am using a G920 Logitech wheel, and playing Forza Motorsport on PC using Xbox Game pass. I do not have the VIP, or cars pass, this is the basic game as available to everyone.
I do hope you all enjoy the content, Racing and Sim racing is great fun and helps you escape the harsh reality of the life.

I'd say the 3rd lap penalty was pretty fair, it was a big send, even though the car in front was pretty much dead still, they had started turning in already when you made contact. Not egregious, so if you got 2+ seconds you could certainly complain.
Also loved the send-off at the end, the input switching is great until it isn't, it's the reason I can't use my button box, as it's a keyboard.
Yeah they have already started turning in when I made contact but they moved over to the right so one would assume that their intention was to stay to the right. They was going quite slow through that section. So on top of that I assumed they was staying out of the way. And by the time we made contact I was along side them through the corner. It is a racing incident. They should not have moved to the right on a left hand turn. And then turned in on a car who was already coming through and was unable to avoid a collision. And I should have braked really then gone round the other side of them or held the inside line for the next corner. Big send but penalty was not justified. Like I say stewards would have blamed both of us for poor judgement lol.
Yeah and I had someone join in on the party right at the end lol.
Ooooo I get you man. Such a silly pain that could easily be fixed. I mean it shouldn’t be there in first place.

But I like the Miata spec races. Usually good racing

Usually not a big fan of Miata users, but the spec lobby is very nice actually😊
Oooo bud it was such a blast and it was great to actually race full lobbies again. I mean I didn’t start right at the back but P17 from 24 is great to work your way up. I loved it. Did not like the penalty system though that thing can …. Off lol. I mean some were my own doing lol. Still it’s a load of crap.
Not as good as the ginetta but I would say not far behind either

Yeah it is. To be fair though the tracks on the spec series was so much better than the tracks on gt and touring this week

@M-hq9xz yeah that’s fair. That layout I prefer. The full layout is not my cup of tea lol. To be fair that Vauxhall did well there for me in Fridays video. Was a little unexpected. Still boggles my mind what the Audi was doing lol
The steering is same if you have stick drift on the console and you are using a wheel/ controller has priority and you don`t know why...lol
OOOO right i never knew that. Kind of stupid I mean, why totally shut down an input. Seems like an oversight to me bud
yeah had this with an og xbone in fh4. Racing with a mate, I went straight instead of turning left, they asked what happened - stick drift happened!
@Flashms to regain control, press a button on the wheel. Steering and pedal inputs don't register - that said, brakes "might" register.
@orangepeel9262 ah that’s good to know. I know the pedals all freeze so if I am on 20 percent throttle it’ll stay like that. So next time I’ll press a button. ( not the handbrake though lol)
The driving standards in the Miata thing are abysmal
They were not the best. Last race was far cleaner. Still I thought it was fun. Just one of those races lol where it was messy yet still fun. Which is a rare occurrence lol. Usually it’s chaotic and awful lol

@@Flashms I did two races and it was bumper cars it was then I realised that the playerbase are beyond saving lmao also if you can't tell yet it's me Dan lol

Also do you think I am to blame for the Laguna seca send where I. Got the penalty ??? Because the car was going slower and turned right before the left hander
you turned off the proximity arrows?
Never had them on the first place. Cannot stand them, they are terrible and dated.
Forza did say they are going to implement a crew chief or radar style feature soon so let’s see how that goes. I am used to having a crew chief/ HUD thanks to ACC which is a very good implementation. So I do wonder what forza come up with.

Nothing like a good surprise lol. But i do Have rear mirror on so I use that to plan whats behind me and headphones to hear cars, sometimes i have to check because A car can sound next to you but you do have room to move over. Again the Arrows are just terrible and dated.
