@@stevenjordan3839 This isn't the American version actually, this is the EU version which has a British voice for Mama, the North American version has Mama's original voice (Along with every other game besides 4, 5, and Sweet Shop, EU or NA, in the series, only the 3DS games have Mama's British voice in EU for some reason)
The voice was also used in later DS games, including Cooking Mama World: Hobbies and Fun (Crafting Mama for NTSC regions) and Camping Adventures (Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures, again for NTSC regions)

But when I saw more and more gameplay with her voice, she had a Japanese young woman voice. But now watching this Europe version of this game, her voice sounds way different and sounds way more like a... Well, Mama. More of an old British lady mother kind of voice.
Cooking Mama 2 : Dinner With Friends (2007) is a fun game ☺️ but Cooking Mama 3: Shop & Chop (2009) and Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic (2011) is absolutely and positivity my favorites in the franchise. 😍😎💯👍

Her voice mostly changed in the PAL versions since Hobbies and Fun (Crafting Mama).
