I dont know bakit hindi ma detect yung mga ibang rk keyboards. Start with the v3.1 then work your way up to version 4.4. Sa akin personally ng wowork yung version 4.4.

@@reversicle212 Hey there! Yes! I do suggest buying the RKH81 but if you have a bit more budget and if its available in your area, then the RK M75 would be a better choice to have. I'm currently testing it now and its way better than the RKH81 for a little more money. But the RKH81 is still an amazing keyboard for the price. Especially if you get the Sky Cyan switches, I heard from friends that is amazing with it. Also for the other keebs, like the veil 87 and akko acr 75, those are both great boards as well but may cost more to build a full keyboard as you would have to buy switches and keycaps. Also, you will be limited to just using it in wired mode. Not a bad thing but you may want to have the option to having tri-mode support.

Really appreciate the videos! Top notch quality! I was preparing to pull the trigger on the H81, but just found their newer gasket keyboard the M75. Would love to hear your thoughts on it, as they seemed to have improved on the great foundation of the H81!

The only one that doesn't interest me is that "Unique" knob, it's a waste of opportunity since changing modes can just be placed somewhere else and they could've just made it the usual knob.
Heyyy. I get you. I think that's why the knob in the upgrading version of this, the M75, has multiple functions. They might have tested the functionality of this knob and applied it there.

Hii! Yes. With my testing when I had the H81, it can do that and reliably as well. But I havent fully tested the swapping between Bluetooth connections but between 2.4 to wired to Bt. I have. Its good

Hii! Pls make sure to connect the usb cable to a usb 3.0 port (blue colored one) to have it recognized by your device. If it doesn’t work, try using a different version of the software. I pin a google drive where i compiled the softwares. Pls check it out as well.
hi! i just want to know how do i turn off the back light? i cant find any instructions anywhere. Also, does the customization mode only work for windows? bc i cant find any to download for MacOs
Hi! It's FN + \| key (the one on top of the enter key) Unfortunately I think the software only works in Windows. Try checking my pinned comment and see if you are able to use any of those softwares but from what I remember, it only works in Windows :(

Heyyy! You cant really turn it off via a shortcut. You can however decrease the brightness till it is off. You do that by pressing FN + Arrow Down Key. Hope this helps you!
hi sir, may i know what is your RKs PID, their site says that the software is for 0102 PID, but mine is different. but we have the same keeb, off mode at the bottom, i really can't make this keeb connect to the software
Hiiiii!! Their site does not have the software for it. You might've downloaded the software for another keeb. Try downloading the one I listed and it might work for you! :D

Helloo! Im happy that I was able to help you! What switch did you get for your H81? I hope you got the sky cyans! B1 to B3 are different bluetooth devices you have connected. It's there so you can easily transfer between these. Press FN + Arrow Down key to lower the brightness to 0. That's how you turn off the light without using the software app.
Nice video. I just got both m75 red switch and h81 blue switch and i would love to know what's their difference internally especially the layers. I really loved the sound of the m75 though it's not clicky which i prefer when i type. Typing on the m75 feels like i am typing on air which is actually a good thing
Helloo!! Thank you so much! Also great purchases! Sorry but I do not have the M75 yet. I did order mine and it would arrive soon. I can't answer the question about internals yet but since the M75 has red switches, that's why the clicky experience isn't there because it is a linear switch. If you want to have that, I suggest going to clicky switches like Box Jades, Box Navies or Cherry Blues. Now I'm super excited for the M75! Can't wait to review it.
Hellloooo! Unfortunately I do not know its polling rate. I did message RK though and I will reply here once I get a response from them. For delays, I have not noticed any delays even when doing heavy gaming for hours. I still do game on this now and still do not get any delays.
my RGB backlighting randomly turned off I can still type and press fn + enter to see battery life but the RGB backlighting just isnt on do you know how to fix?
Hello! Im sorry this is happening to you. Did you try resetting it by using FN + -? This is factory reset. It might help. Did you also try turning on and off the rgb? FN + \| turns it on/off as well.
hello! watched your review was really helpful in deciding to buy this keyboard! however after like 5 days of using it, none of the keys are working but software detects it and rgb lighting works (also really weird that the rgb turns on when putting the ripple/reaction lighting effect and typing but still inputs are not working). tried to update firmware in the software and resetting it but doesn't work. already emailed RK like 4 days ago but no answer yet. was wondering if you knew something about this problem since some people on reddit been having it too. thanks in advance and have a great day!
Heyyy! I'm so sorry to hear this is happening to you. Unfortunately, I have not encountered this problem yet. Did you try it on another device? Maybe your phone or on a tablet? Also, what mode are you trying it in? Can you also try swapping some switches to see if that could be the problem too.
Also, try doing FN + Space to factory reset the RKH81. It could also be a firmware issue of the keeb itself Try checking this reddit thread as well: reddit.com/r/RKRoyalKludge/s/jsOSVIJXfZ
Bought this a week ago and the backlight is not working properly. The lights are working but it seems like the settings FN+\ to change the lighting effects is not working. Adjusting the brightness of the backlight is not working as well. Tried to install the software but it's not much of help. Anyone having the same issue?
@@XaclainRecords Hi Thank for your reply. i did try that and updated the software but it didn't solve the problem. I just found out that that the only effect working is the music option which the backlight will turn on automatically when you play music. Kinda cool but it sucks that i can't choose the other effects.

good day, does the RK H81 and its stock switches have any interference when using a cherry profile keycaps in such that the keyboard is in a north facing switch orientation?

Hey! If you want it to sound creamy, you need to change it to different switches unless if you are using the Sky Cyans which you might just need to lube it. I prefer cherry profile switches but XDA are okay too. Compared to DSA, XDA is way better. What is more comfortable for you? I also like SA profile xD

HELLO! Do you know how to turn off the win lock? I keep on holding Fn + pressing Win or holding Fn + spacebar (as what shopee told me to do), nothing changes after doing both of these.
Hey there!! Super sorry for the late reply. You turn off win lock by pressin FN+Windows key. It should work. I tested mine just now and it works. Also check if you might have switched to MAC mode, just to be sure.
how is the wireless does it perform well like no delays ? because ive seen some said they are having delays and worst is the delay can be 2 seconds long planning to buy this but sources are still limited for research
Hellooo! The 2.4 Ghz is pretty good. I tested it in Valorant and until this day use this to play Valorant. I have not experienced any delays as long as you are in 2.4 Ghz. Bluetooth is another story as it does have some delay. If you game, it is best to use 2.4 ghz or if you can, just plug in a wire to be 100% safe :D

I actually have the M75 and have been using it. I have a couple of videos in line first before I can release the M75 but I will definitely have a video. But if you want to buy now, I honestly think it is worth it. I even have the one with RK Yellows. I love how the typing feel and sound

Heyy! Yeah at first. I just restarted my computer and it worked okay. Did you try doing the following: 1. Re-plugging the keyboard 2. Try restarting your device 3. Try a different device 4. Try a different cable 5. Try reinstalling the program I hope this helps you!

I heard that this keeb is a bit hard to open, but then it is still a great budget 75% kb. Washing machine knob tho and it only controls the connectivity and power on/off, hoped they added more functionality to it.
Heyyy!! Oh it's true! It's hard to open it up. I actually did on the second video for this but despite that, it is definitely a great budget 75% prebuilt. I agree, they could've added a bit more function to the knob but for what it was intended for, they did a good job! Also, the knob can be changed to a GMMK pro knob as well to make it look a bit cooler :D

Helloooo!! I have not tried but for other enthusiasts who have, they live by the Sky Cyans! I have a friend who also bought the RKH81 with the Sky Cyan and loves using it! The RKH81 is an amazing keeb! If you have a bit more budget, RK has the RK M75. I am still going to review it but from what I've seen, it looks cool for 3500 pesos!
Anybody else's backlight just randomly stop working. Still can see the backlight when it boots up or I try to check battery life but it just doesn't stay on the keyboard while typing anymore. Looks like it shorts itself out after initially booting up Edit: I have already tried the FN+spacebar method to reset the keyboard and even see the flash between green to red to blue which signals the reset was complete. Backlight can also be seen pulsing while charging or trying to change brightness so I know the LEDs aren't busted
Hey! Hmmm. I unfortunately have not tried having this problem before. Did you try contacting the company you bought it from? The only fix I know is to do the factory reset which you've done. Also, does this happen when you are plugged in or in wireless mode?

@@XaclainRecords Thanks for helping out on an older post, you definitely deserve more subs! Tried it on a couple other devices and unfortunately got the same results. The software did seem to help out though. Nothing works in the "light effect mode", but if I select all the keys manually in the "custom lights" then it somehow works! Slightly annoying because I can't use all the cool lighting effects but something is better than nothing. Have you ever had any experience with the rk support team? I emailed them and they responded with a program to download so I could give them my PID but it seems a little sketchy.
You’re welcome and thank you so much! I appreciate you very much. I see. Something is probably really faulty with that keeb. Yep. I’ve had the chance to interact with someone from RK before. But she left for another company so I can’t ask for her help. The PID thing is a standard thing they usually ask. It determines the keyboards id so they can see what version it is. (Meaning the earlier versions like in the video or the newer ones with south facing LEDs) You can trust that. I hope it is a firmware version problem only and nothing really serious. Let me know how it goes.

Hello! I apologize for the late response. Hmmmm. Thats weird. Are you sure the usb port you are using are 3.0? If you can, pls try it on another device. If it still doesnt work, try doing a factory reset. FN + Spacebar for 5 secs.

Hiiii!! No dli lubed ang switches out of the box but ang stabilizers ky yes. I am not sure if removable ang gaskets, i have not been able to do any modifications yet. i got my rk h81 and im using it now and unfortunately the software doesnt work for mine we prolly have different pid number thats why its not working for mine anyone have some link for pid 013E?
I have really bad input lag with mine. It seems like its around 60ms. Even while using USB C. I play a lot of osu and it's basically impossible with this board. Really not sure why but it's pretty disappointing and I'm probably going to have to return it.

Hey! For the lighting, yes you can create your own static lights in the Self-Define lighting effect in the RKH81 software. The music pattern reverts back to its original lighting pattern which is the neon_stream effect when you stop the software or use the keyboard in wireless mode (2.4 ghz or bluetooth) But yes, it is possible to create your own static lighting colors if you want! :D
Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Actually. I double checked it, there is a custom Lights part in the software. I think you can do moving gradient colors and stuff. You might need to play around the software though.
Heyyy! This really depends on you and how customizable you would like to have your keyboard be as the Keychron V1 is QMK/VIA Compatible and the RKH81 only has its RK software (which isn't bad). I can't give you a super in-depth comparison as I have not yet reviewed the V1. Both are good choices but this would be entirely up to you and if I were to weigh in, I'd get the RK M75. xD It is an upgraded version of the RKH81 and I'm loving my experience with it so far.

My RK-H81 knob are marked differently. The marks from top to bottom going counter-clockwise are: OFF, G, B1, B2, B3. Does anybody have any comments on this?

I have not had the chance to take a look another RKH81 yet but from what I've seen, I think your gasket might be Poron gaskets compared to my silicon gaskets. Your plate might not have a PE foam-ish kinda thing as well.
Hellooo! From what I know you need to input the ASCII code for it. This is from google: Use a Microsoft Office shortcut to create an enye by pressing Ctrl + tilde key or typing N + 0303 + Alt + X, or Ctrl + Shift + tilde key for capital Ñ. Hope this helps.
hey there! Please make sure to connect the keeb via cable! It won't detect if its in 2.4ghz mode or bluetooth mode. If that doesn't work, try restarting your PC or mac. :)
Hey! Yeah the RGB turns off too after 5 minutes and the delay isn't too noticeable (In 2.4 ghz Mode). It connects back relatively quickly in my testing.

Would've been an instant buy if they just put PBT keycaps. My sweaty palms are gonna bring out the shine on those ABS keycaps in probably a couple of months lol. It looks really nice though ngl. Might consider this to replace my RK987 once it gives up the ghost (still going strong at almost 3 years usage now).

Have you encountered an issue with battery and backlight not turning on? It's odd bec the backlight works when I tested the Music Light Effect Mode using the RK software but it doesn't want to switch on through FN ,< or FN \|. Looks like it isn't charging, too.. Any thoughts on these issues? Tried to reach out to RK, got no response though 😶🌫️

No, I haven't tried openin it up yet. I got it about a week ago. I was honestly too excited to try it out that I didn't get to check it completely. The battery is stuck at 1 though it's been plugged for hours. I tried to charge it on laptop and a wall socket, to no avail. Yes, I tried other effects and the lights weren't turning on, too. They only work on Music light effect. I ordered it at RK's official store in Lazada.
Oh dang. There's must be something wrong with either the connection or the battery itself. I have pm'd RK and will hopefully get a response from them soon. Hopefully they can address the issue as well. I will let you know if they have replied to me.
It think mine has some like superr battery. had it for about a year now and only charged it like 3 times, even though i use it a lot. Must buy keyboard. The sound on the SkyCyan switches are too nice to miss out on, especially the spacebar.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear that it's not working for you. Did you try the older one? Also, pls make sure the keeb is plugged in and not in 2.4ghz or bluetooth mode.
I see. Could you try using the older software version? If you did, can you try to uninstall it, reset your pc then reinstall it. If you are on MAC, it won't work.
I just got mine today. Really good keyboard for the price. I tried RK before I really didn't like the sound of it and the feel of the keyboard. But this one hits really well because of multi device support. I've been using logitech k480 and it's hard to press.
Heyyy! It is such a great keyboard! Old RK keebs were not as good tbh except for some. The trimode here is amazing. The upgrade of this is the RK M75 is even better.

@@reversicle212 Hey there! Yes! I do suggest buying the RKH81 but if you have a bit more budget and if its available in your area, then the RK M75 would be a better choice to have. I'm currently testing it now and its way better than the RKH81 for a little more money.
But the RKH81 is still an amazing keyboard for the price. Especially if you get the Sky Cyan switches, I heard from friends that is amazing with it.
Also for the other keebs, like the veil 87 and akko acr 75, those are both great boards as well but may cost more to build a full keyboard as you would have to buy switches and keycaps. Also, you will be limited to just using it in wired mode. Not a bad thing but you may want to have the option to having tri-mode support.

The only one that doesn't interest me is that "Unique" knob, it's a waste of opportunity since changing modes can just be placed somewhere else and they could've just made it the usual knob.
Heyyy. I get you. I think that's why the knob in the upgrading version of this, the M75, has multiple functions. They might have tested the functionality of this knob and applied it there.

Hii! Yes. With my testing when I had the H81, it can do that and reliably as well. But I havent fully tested the swapping between Bluetooth connections but between 2.4 to wired to Bt. I have. Its good

Hii! Pls make sure to connect the usb cable to a usb 3.0 port (blue colored one) to have it recognized by your device.
If it doesn’t work, try using a different version of the software. I pin a google drive where i compiled the softwares. Pls check it out as well.

Heyyy! You cant really turn it off via a shortcut. You can however decrease the brightness till it is off. You do that by pressing FN + Arrow Down Key.

B1 to B3 are different bluetooth devices you have connected. It's there so you can easily transfer between these.
Press FN + Arrow Down key to lower the brightness to 0. That's how you turn off the light without using the software app.

Nice video. I just got both m75 red switch and h81 blue switch and i would love to know what's their difference internally especially the layers. I really loved the sound of the m75 though it's not clicky which i prefer when i type. Typing on the m75 feels like i am typing on air which is actually a good thing

Sorry but I do not have the M75 yet. I did order mine and it would arrive soon. I can't answer the question about internals yet but since the M75 has red switches, that's why the clicky experience isn't there because it is a linear switch. If you want to have that, I suggest going to clicky switches like Box Jades, Box Navies or Cherry Blues.
Now I'm super excited for the M75! Can't wait to review it.

For delays, I have not noticed any delays even when doing heavy gaming for hours. I still do game on this now and still do not get any delays.

hello! watched your review was really helpful in deciding to buy this keyboard! however after like 5 days of using it, none of the keys are working but software detects it and rgb lighting works (also really weird that the rgb turns on when putting the ripple/reaction lighting effect and typing but still inputs are not working). tried to update firmware in the software and resetting it but doesn't work. already emailed RK like 4 days ago but no answer yet. was wondering if you knew something about this problem since some people on reddit been having it too. thanks in advance and have a great day!

I'm so sorry to hear this is happening to you. Unfortunately, I have not encountered this problem yet. Did you try it on another device? Maybe your phone or on a tablet? Also, what mode are you trying it in? Can you also try swapping some switches to see if that could be the problem too.
Also, try doing FN + Space to factory reset the RKH81. It could also be a firmware issue of the keeb itself

Bought this a week ago and the backlight is not working properly. The lights are working but it seems like the settings FN+\ to change the lighting effects is not working. Adjusting the brightness of the backlight is not working as well. Tried to install the software but it's not much of help. Anyone having the same issue?

Hey! If you want it to sound creamy, you need to change it to different switches unless if you are using the Sky Cyans which you might just need to lube it.
I prefer cherry profile switches but XDA are okay too. Compared to DSA, XDA is way better. What is more comfortable for you? I also like SA profile xD

how is the wireless does it perform well like no delays ? because ive seen some said they are having delays and worst is the delay can be 2 seconds long planning to buy this but sources are still limited for research
Hellooo! The 2.4 Ghz is pretty good. I tested it in Valorant and until this day use this to play Valorant. I have not experienced any delays as long as you are in 2.4 Ghz. Bluetooth is another story as it does have some delay. If you game, it is best to use 2.4 ghz or if you can, just plug in a wire to be 100% safe :D

I actually have the M75 and have been using it. I have a couple of videos in line first before I can release the M75 but I will definitely have a video.

Yeah at first. I just restarted my computer and it worked okay. Did you try doing the following:
1. Re-plugging the keyboard
2. Try restarting your device
3. Try a different device
4. Try a different cable
5. Try reinstalling the program

I have not tried but for other enthusiasts who have, they live by the Sky Cyans! I have a friend who also bought the RKH81 with the Sky Cyan and loves using it!
The RKH81 is an amazing keeb! If you have a bit more budget, RK has the RK M75. I am still going to review it but from what I've seen, it looks cool for 3500 pesos!
Anybody else's backlight just randomly stop working. Still can see the backlight when it boots up or I try to check battery life but it just doesn't stay on the keyboard while typing anymore. Looks like it shorts itself out after initially booting up
Edit: I have already tried the FN+spacebar method to reset the keyboard and even see the flash between green to red to blue which signals the reset was complete. Backlight can also be seen pulsing while charging or trying to change brightness so I know the LEDs aren't busted
Hey! Hmmm. I unfortunately have not tried having this problem before. Did you try contacting the company you bought it from? The only fix I know is to do the factory reset which you've done.

Tried it on a couple other devices and unfortunately got the same results. The software did seem to help out though. Nothing works in the "light effect mode", but if I select all the keys manually in the "custom lights" then it somehow works! Slightly annoying because I can't use all the cool lighting effects but something is better than nothing.
Have you ever had any experience with the rk support team? I emailed them and they responded with a program to download so I could give them my PID but it seems a little sketchy.

Yep. I’ve had the chance to interact with someone from RK before. But she left for another company so I can’t ask for her help.
The PID thing is a standard thing they usually ask. It determines the keyboards id so they can see what version it is. (Meaning the earlier versions like in the video or the newer ones with south facing LEDs)
You can trust that. I hope it is a firmware version problem only and nothing really serious. Let me know how it goes.

I have really bad input lag with mine.
It seems like its around 60ms. Even while using USB C.
I play a lot of osu and it's basically impossible with this board.
Really not sure why but it's pretty disappointing and I'm probably going to have to return it.

Hey! For the lighting, yes you can create your own static lights in the Self-Define lighting effect in the RKH81 software.
The music pattern reverts back to its original lighting pattern which is the neon_stream effect when you stop the software or use the keyboard in wireless mode (2.4 ghz or bluetooth)
But yes, it is possible to create your own static lighting colors if you want! :D

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. Actually. I double checked it, there is a custom Lights part in the software. I think you can do moving gradient colors and stuff. You might need to play around the software though.

This really depends on you and how customizable you would like to have your keyboard be as the Keychron V1 is QMK/VIA Compatible and the RKH81 only has its RK software (which isn't bad). I can't give you a super in-depth comparison as I have not yet reviewed the V1.
Both are good choices but this would be entirely up to you and if I were to weigh in, I'd get the RK M75. xD It is an upgraded version of the RKH81 and I'm loving my experience with it so far.

Hello! You just plug it into the computer and it should charge up.
My RK-H81 knob are marked differently. The marks from top to bottom going counter-clockwise are: OFF, G, B1, B2, B3. Does anybody have any comments on this?

The RKH81 you have is the older variation of the RKH81. The newer one is the same one as mine in the video.

I have not had the chance to take a look another RKH81 yet but from what I've seen, I think your gasket might be Poron gaskets compared to my silicon gaskets.
Your plate might not have a PE foam-ish kinda thing as well.

Hellooo! From what I know you need to input the ASCII code for it. This is from google:
Use a Microsoft Office shortcut to create an enye by pressing Ctrl + tilde key or typing N + 0303 + Alt + X, or Ctrl + Shift + tilde key for capital Ñ.

Please make sure to connect the keeb via cable! It won't detect if its in 2.4ghz mode or bluetooth mode. If that doesn't work, try restarting your PC or mac. :)
Can I configure the time that it takes for the keyboard to turn off? instead of the default 5 minutes...

Hey! Yeah the RGB turns off too after 5 minutes and the delay isn't too noticeable (In 2.4 ghz Mode). It connects back relatively quickly in my testing.

Would've been an instant buy if they just put PBT keycaps. My sweaty palms are gonna bring out the shine on those ABS keycaps in probably a couple of months lol. It looks really nice though ngl. Might consider this to replace my RK987 once it gives up the ghost (still going strong at almost 3 years usage now).

Actually im not entirely sure if its ABS too as it feels like Double Shot PBT but i think you may be right that its ABS.

It depends on what kind of form factor you like but for a 75% the RKH81 is an amazing choice for a first keeb. If you can, choose the sky cyan switch. I heard from friends and others who have bought the RKH81, that it's great!

Have you encountered an issue with battery and backlight not turning on? It's odd bec the backlight works when I tested the Music Light Effect Mode using the RK software but it doesn't want to switch on through FN ,< or FN \|. Looks like it isn't charging, too.. Any thoughts on these issues? Tried to reach out to RK, got no response though 😶🌫️

Thats a really weird issue. It feels like the keyboard's pcb might be in another layer. Did you try any other effect on the software as well?

No, I haven't tried openin it up yet. I got it about a week ago. I was honestly too excited to try it out that I didn't get to check it completely. The battery is stuck at 1 though it's been plugged for hours. I tried to charge it on laptop and a wall socket, to no avail. Yes, I tried other effects and the lights weren't turning on, too. They only work on Music light effect. I ordered it at RK's official store in Lazada.
Oh dang. There's must be something wrong with either the connection or the battery itself. I have pm'd RK and will hopefully get a response from them soon. Hopefully they can address the issue as well.
I will let you know if they have replied to me.

It think mine has some like superr battery. had it for about a year now and only charged it like 3 times, even though i use it a lot. Must buy keyboard. The sound on the SkyCyan switches are too nice to miss out on, especially the spacebar.

I see. Could you try using the older software version? If you did, can you try to uninstall it, reset your pc then reinstall it. If you are on MAC, it won't work.

I just got mine today. Really good keyboard for the price. I tried RK before I really didn't like the sound of it and the feel of the keyboard. But this one hits really well because of multi device support. I've been using logitech k480 and it's hard to press.
Heyyy! It is such a great keyboard! Old RK keebs were not as good tbh except for some. The trimode here is amazing. The upgrade of this is the RK M75 is even better.
