    Sir , Which are the appropriate Load Combinations for Response Spectrum Analysis?

    Sir.
    Is it necessary to assign diaphragm and mass source before response spectrum analysis

    Sir , what is the correct procedure to create dynamic load cases? Means while adding gravity loads(self wt, floor load, member load), Should they be in same Response Spectrum (RS) load case with X,Y,Z direction (like Self wt X 1, Self wt Y 1 , Self wt Z 1) all together or Should be in different Load case like (RSX -- Self wt X 1....... , RSZ -- Self wt Z 1....... , RSY -- Self wt Y 1....... ,) with theirs own Response Spectra Definition below gravity loads of each Dynamic load case separately having theirs own Directions Factor X Z Y . Sir plz explain.

    Sir...your second mode is torsional which is not desirable (in ETABS). So is that okay? If it's not okay then what's the solution? How to prevent it.

    Very good lecture. Enjoyed and appreciate. But I hv a request, can u please extend this into lS-1893-2016 revision, instead of lS-1893-2002. Secondly, the actual calculation of Sa/g value instead of simplifying the value to unity (Sa/g = 1, u have adopted), from fundamental Time Period; in the Dynamic analysis.

    Where are the load combinations. For design we need ULS and SLS load combinations like 1.2DL+1.2LL+1.2EQ, etc. Is it the same combinations to be run for the DX and DZ also. I think you have to take a class on that also, if you please.

      See I've to keep my videos short, so for that I've to skip some of the things, But the load combinations have been explained in my Etabs video series, you can check them out.

    in which condition we use response reduction analysis ?

    • @JitendraChoubisa
      @JitendraChoubisa  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In response reduction analysis, engineers typically apply a reduction factor (R-factor) to the seismic forces that a structure may experience. Response reduction factor (R) is an indication of extent to which the energy is dissipated through inelastic deformation during an event of seismic excitation. So its just a type of method but with different approach for ensuring the safety of building against lateral forces.
