    KEYBOARD UPDATE: Somehow I missed the fact that the top row (the numbers and backspace) are all north facing switches! That means if you use cherry profile keycaps on that particular row, you WILL get interference! I deeply apologize for missing this crucial detail! But the rest of the keyboards are south facing switches, so it technically shouldn't be a problem to use cherry profile keycaps since I doubt you'll be using the number row all that often to make it an issue. I still think it's better than the Vissles V84, so no change there :)

      interference only exist on row 3, so numbers and backspace should be fine

    Excellent review! I've been eyeing this board for a while, heard a lot of great things about it. Looks to be a really solid prebuilt option.

    This keyboard is also the lychee g66/pro and dukharo g66. Different names but it's all the same and yeah they're all awesome stock 65% with a knob. Love everything about it! Good review man! 😸👌

    theres this legend on the site, "The TH66's top row is designed with north-facing LEDs, other rows are with south-facing LEDs. We recommend only using Gateron SMD switches for the TH66."
    Can someone explain? Can i put cherry switches or any other brand or only gateron?

    • @Romsicle
      @Romsicle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What they're trying to say is to use switches with an open window where the LED is. You can put literally any switch in.
      Some switches have the "LED slot" blocked off for soldered leds - for example, Alpaca v2 underside shows 4 holes. That's a blocked off switch.
      But other switches have this portion of the switch opened up for light to show up better.

    Be warned, though this board is awesome their software to remap keys is quite limited. For example you can't customise what FN + Knob does. But you can on the base layer, I do not see any option to set your own layers. Seems it only has two, base and FN. I wish it supported QMK or ZMK. Much better firmwares than their stock.

    yo quick question i know this is 2 years old but does the led lighting help seeing the keys in the dark at all ? i work a lot at night and i need to be able to see what im doing. i was about to buy the keyboard when i saw it doesnt have shine through keycaps

    • @Romsicle
      @Romsicle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's definitely better than having no backlight at all. Even if you work at night, you should be fine. It's not as visible as backlit keycaps but it's still functional. The benefit of white-ish keycaps is that it's also easier to see at night + lots of surrounding light to make it more visble.
