- The fourth-generation Vios (designated AC100) was launched on 9 August 2022 in Thailand as the Yaris Sedan. It is based on the DNGA-B platform shared with the Raize and the W100 series Avanza/Veloz. The model is introduced with a 70 mm (2.8 in) longer wheelbase at 2,620 mm (103.1 in). Compared to its predecessor, the car features a fastback-like sloping rear roof section which stretched the window line further back and less headroom. this particular model is a High-spec variants come with pretty much every option apart from Pioneer Speakers and Two-tone interior

Here in the Philippines the Vios is locally assembled so Toyota has to renovate and retool it so that the new generation can be assembled. Can't wait for it to arrive in our country. 🇵🇭
Toyota is changing itself by every single new car. They have changed themself from being labelled "lazy, old" to become young, modern and more approachable to new comers. I will buy this car when it's available in Vietnam.

It's good that Toyota finally decided to replace the old Vios with a whole new design. It's been a long time coming now, but I'm not a big fan of the front and back venturi slots with a protruding flap. It looks like an afterthought!
Car designs are getting mature. Just like the new Civic FE which I really like. We just bought a new Corolla Cross because of it's design too. Simple body lines yet charming and atheltic.

Thailand price for premium is RM85k and it comes with 1.2L engine. Most probably, Malaysia will have 1.5L engine and be more expensive. Hopefully, it's below 100k

Man that looks good, I'm not sure so about Toyota engine but is that a new engine model or is it similar with the previous model? And how's Toyota CVT in term of reliability?
I've seen many Vios at my place but it's usually the previous gen.
I guess, It depend on each market as well but here they are use the same engine as a previous generation and theirs CVT transmission are pretty reliable I never heard a bad story about it.
CVTs for Honda and Toyota are the most reliable.
Only Honda and Toyota CVT, the rest are no go.

Car manufacturers should standardize safety feature(airbags, traction control, HSA, parking censors, Lane keeping assist, autodoor lock, etc) and make the premium features(LED lights, leather seats, large info display, connectivity, trims, etc) optional.

No idea either, but I guess probably launch in 2023 n I think it will be an all new model instead of another facelift.

@@asrockrpg It come with 6 Airbags as standard across the range. (miss out a driver's knee airbag compare to previous model)

nahh, projector headlights are the best, even if they're still halogen they can be replaced with LED bulbs. With LED reflectors, you really can't replace the LEDs for brighter ones.

Correct, It didn't have a spare tires but it does come with tire repair kit which is not present in the video.

CVTs are more expensive to maintain and just wont last long...
I’m look for “affordable” cars that will get ~280K miles like my last 1992 Integra...
