I have the same scope but with the 56mm objective. By far my favorite reticle , and one of my favorite scopes. I prefer my Meopta Optika6 over my Vortex Viper PST Gen II 3-15X44.

Раньше прицелы меопта не рассматривал к приобретению из-за примитивных прицельных сеток, потом все таки случайно просматривая увидел сетку MRAD1, это сетка очень понравилась. Из- этого видео понял, что автором этой грамотной сетки являетесь Вы. Теперь если буду приобретать следующий прицел, то скорее всего Меопта с сеткой MRAD1 или что то подобное.

Crimson Trace 5-series is better optically than Optika6, but its reticle is not great for hunting in low light, in my opinion. If a significant amount of the use is hunting, I think Optika6 with MRAD1 reticle will have an edge. Keep in mind that Brownells MPO 3-18x50, if it is available to you, has a better reticle visibility than CT and is as good optically and mechanically.
Finally, I've ordered Meopta opt 6 3-18x50 with your mrad1 reticle and jump to this decision after precise evaluation of the info posted by you and other guys on snipershide forum. I deeply convienced (or hope so) that my move to this scope is better than purchase of Crimson 5series that evidently discountinued and not so firm as meopta, however I assume that optically it could be better than meopta, am I right?
@@DarkLordOfOptics MPO is not available for me and if it was so, possibly I've turn my choice to it. But at the almost same price of 680$ I have a choice between those aforesaid meo and CT. CT reticle for me is not the right way to go buy as on low magnification I almost see nothing at the bush( I saw you video with reticle comparison and CT reticle was absolutely blind with the trees on the background and abscence of the bold horizontal lines on ct reticle as continuation of hashes is a fault imho.) That is why I've turned to Meopta and I sincerely hope that optical difference will not be significant, however I like meopta fixed top turret and covered windage turret. Will see how it pair with R93, basically it was aimed to be installed on 243 win.

How does the Optika6 3-18x50 do in low light? I like the reticle you designed and the power range better than the Meostar options for hunting. I wouldn’t expect Meostar light gathering capability but how would you say it compares to a more common scope such as Leupold VX-3i or Viper PST II?
It is pretty good. Same general ballpark as the PST Gen2, I think, and maybe a touch better than the VX-3i. Brownells MPO and Toric were a little better than the Optika6 in low light.

It was the FFP version of the Meopta Optika6 1-6x24. I assumed it would have fairly bright illumination, so I designed the reticle with that in mind. When the scope arrived, the reticle ended up being too small for the rather weak illumination it has.
Have you had an opportunity to check out the 2.5-15x44? I just picked up one with the dichro bdc reticle. Just curious about your thoughts on it. Thanks!
That's a very nice reticle. Does someone know if the turrets of the 3-18x56 are scaled in Mrad? I ask because in the optika6 manual and their website it states: Impact per click (cm @ 100 m) = 0.7 for 3-18x50 FFP and 3-18x56 RD FFP
I answer my question after a reply from Meopta. The values on their website currently, are for the non-mrad reticles! This might by clarified in a future version of their website

Look through both versions english and russian and jump to conclusion that this reticle could be very useful for hunting, it's cozy to get shooting lead horizontally using your design and good idea not illuminate the donut, as I use circle dot mark on swarowski 1,25-4 and for me its a little bit overilluminated even at the low illuminate value. Also its good in practical point of view to have low profile wind turret covered as it's steacky to everything in the forest, car etc, as well as idea with fixed vertical turret, simple and evidently workable. As for you question to us: Crossover- it's hard to find proper word on russian, but lets say универсальный, для всех возможных задач, хотя и универсальных вещей не бывает. Eyepiece- окуляр, eyerelief - расстояние от окуляра до глаза, при котором вы получаете нормальную рабочую картинку. Hash- вертикальная черточка, (зарубка) в контексте повествования. На сленге стрелков- расчёска. Спасибо за видео, глубоко, познавательно, хорошо доносите информацию!
спасибо за терминологию! I agree on overilluminating precision or hunting reticles. For AR-15 scopes, I like to illuminate the donut, but for higher magnification designs I really prefer to illuminate very little of the reticle.

При низком освещении на минимальном увеличении подсветка пончика бы помогла, как и подсветка дерева на максимальном увеличении. Интересно ваше мнение как автора сетки. Спасибо.
I have 2 meopta optika 6 scopes in 4.5-27x50. They are superb. The MRAD1 reticule in FFP illuminated is excellent. I am a former Tangent and NF scope fan. The optika 6 more than keeps up with them.
This is just ludicrous. I've got a PM2 3-20 on my WinMag, a NF 4-16 ATACR on my 308, and have looked into the TT 3-15 for 7mm build... the Optika 6 3-18 on my .22 doesn't hold a candle. It tracks well and has good glass but that doesn't put it in the same league.
И будут ли выпускать прицелы в FFP сетками zplus rd и M-Rad? В 3-18 4.5-27? Как я понял в России их нет пока. Преимущественно они есть в 5-30. Посоветуйте им чтоб производитель выпускал их в мрадах ,

LHT is a notable step-up from the Optika6.

It was the FFP version of the Meopta Optika6 1-6x24. I assumed it would have fairly bright illumination, so I designed the reticle with that in mind. When the scope arrived, the reticle ended up being too small for the rather weak illumination it has.
Was considering this EXACT scope for my Magnum springer air rifle. Will it take hard recoil?
It should, but you may want to double check with Meopta

@@midav4275 Именно из за ситуаций где плохое освещение. Когда вся сетка освещена, она действительно хорошо видна, но из за нее плохо видна цель.
