As someone who's been playing MGS since 1998 and have met both David Hayter and Cam Clarke, I'm hyped! I really hope Konami actually took their time to make this right.
I've been largely immovable by remakes and nostalgia marketing, but this one actually stirs something in me. I remember doing zero kill zero alert extreme mode (or whatever the highest difficulty level was) speed runs of Snake Eater in my dorm room as a sophomore in college. Think the best I managed was 2 hours, but that was just me doing my best by myself with no help from the internet. It's been a while, but between this and Armored Core vi, I feel like there's something to actually look forward to in gaming that I haven't felt since Anthem let me down.
