I’ve bragged about the amazing EV adoption in Norway before, 5 or 6 years ago, and had a naysayer say that “ you can’t compare the US with a small country like Norway “ , I said “ no you really can’t , but you see the template of the future of all other world countries “. Now you see the US lagging behind in EV adoption, even with its percentage of EV sales rising, yet you see more and more electric vehicles on the streets, not just on the dealership lots .
In my opinion, first more people want Teslas than any other EV, and as more people discover EVs they know Tesla is that one to get.
Secondly, most people really don’t know that other car manufacturers have EVs, when they see them on the streets they probably think they are gas vehicles.

Agreed! My impression is that it requires a change in people's attitudes when it comes to, for example, transitioning to electric cars, and governments must also provide good incentives for people to make such a transition. In Europe generally, very few cars with large gasoline/diesel engines are sold, while in the USA it seems that a V8 pickup truck is many people's big dream. Also, agree about Tesla, I can't see any other electric car that offers anywhere near the same value for money.

Norway Tesla sales drop from 9,474 March 2023 to 5,121 March 2024. Its a -46.0% decrease. Yeah, Norways overall sales got lower but Tesla hasnt this big of an advantage as to last 2 years. I am still optimistic for Tesla because especially in Germany they are a lot more seen oppose to last years.

Norway EV adaption rate is 82%, not much room to grow there, and withdrawing EV incentives.
