This Tesla buyer’s guide video will walk you through everything you need to know about the current Tesla vehicles in 2023 including the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X, Cybertruck & Roadster
Tesla has achieved a 5-star safety rating for all its vehicles. All Teslas come standard with Automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot collision warning, and lane departure avoidance. All Tesla vehicles come with a center touch screen running Tesla’s proprietary software. Tesla owners can use the free mobile app to control the car
Tesla Autopilot is the advanced safety & convenience features. It comes standard with all vehicles and enables your car to steer, accelerate, and brake automatically within its lane. Enhanced Autopilot ($6000) adds more features such as Navigate on Autopilot, Auto Lane Change, Autopark & Summon. For $15,000 you can access Full Self Driving Capability which adds Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control and Autosteer on city streets (FSD Beta)
Owning a Tesla comes with benefits of an electric vehicle including: no engine, front trunks that add storage space, no gas or oil, only paying for electricity which is usually cheaper than gas, less maintenance due to fewer moving parts, quiet drive, instant torque for quick acceleration

I have my Tesla, a 2021 Model 3 SR+, which I lovingly refer to as my “poor man’s Tesla.” (I’m a retired elementary school teacher.) Yes, it is the least expensive, shortest range, slowest, and smallest Tesla made.
Yet… it is faster than everything else off the line at every green light (and I’m not even jamming the accelerator), plenty of get up and go for freeway maneuvers, has plenty of room for my family (2 adults, 2 teenage boys - and I’m 6’1”), lots of storage space for all our luggage for long road trips, and I’ve driven the car from CA > KY, over 5,500 miles, as well as other long
road trips up and down the West Coast, San Diego to Washington state.
In other words, it has been an amazing car in the two years and 27,000+ miles I’ve had it!
My three favorite things about EVs in general (my wife has a VW ID.4) and Tesla specifically: they are inexpensive to operate, very easy to live with, and fun and fresh (thanks to the OTA updates from Tesla) to drive!
    Nice work as always, Andy!

@@tarickaskani3396 Very true! It is, as you say (and I quote) “not expensive when you have to change the battery,” because that does not happen. Since it doesn’t happen, it’s no cost!
However, my 2008 Toyota Sienna did get a quote of nearly $7,000.00 to rebuild the engine. It had suffered a catastrophic failure of the cooling system driving down the freeway. And when I was in college I did have to rebuild the engine in my ‘67 VW van because the distributor shaft shattered. Metal filings everywhere.
Battery exchanges are covered under vehicle warranty for 100k miles or more. Only in the fevered mind of ICE advocates is it a “thing.”
      Safe travels all!

I watch your vids a lot, and I appreciate them. It shows some amazing safety features I wish were trickled down to ALL automakers. However, I have lots of unanswered questions about BEVS and PHEVs vs ICE, and the practicality and safety concerns regarding Autopilot in a world where we appear so distracted already. Yes, “Driver Assistance” aides we need to assist us in being safer, more efficient, and more aware. But I beg to differ on many of their practical applications. It is almost as if we are being sold BEVs as the next thing since water. What of Hydrogen Fuel Cells and other Bio-fuel technologies we have been hearing about? I like how Toyota and Mazda and BMW and others I am sure of have chosen not put “all their eggs in one basket” in such a dynamic market. Thank you for making such informative videos. We need more real world comparisons between all these type of technologies. I’m advocating for a fun competition between ICE vs BEV vs PHEV vs Hydrogen Fuel Cells and other alternative fuel sources to do [cross-country] destination runs across the continental US and in all countries where they appear to be trying to bury ICE vehicles. I am actually becoming convinced that we will be very surprised. ELON inspires me just as Nikola Tesla does. We should not forget the past and our history if we ever wish to move forward. Range anxieties and practicality are a must! I would so appreciate a sit down interview with ELON! They all have their applications, so why not let them demonstrate their practicalities in a healthy and fun competition?

P.S. Kinda sounds like Tesla's PR company wrote a lot of the "specs" text for you to read. No worries, but because you speak (or the video speed is "enhanced") fast, I had to CONSTANTLY, stop and rewind to hear all the spec details packed in to every sentence.
May want to ask Tesla's PR firm to not enhance the speed of the video.
Remember, the #1 group of car buyers is WOMEN. (Over 70% of the NEW cars purchase decisions are either directly by a woman or heavily "influenced" by a woman.
This is according to published, industry stats.
The remaining 30% of the NEW car decisions are made by men - who are single, or are buying a "collector" (not a commuter) car, or have no family and/or no significant female in their life.

No parking assist and you lose a lot of features of Autopilot and Enhanced Autopilot that you paid for without them.

1Working in home health, entering patients house 5x a day at least, means 5x in and out of a hot car in the summer. With tesla they have the overheat protection that keeps car cool when i enter.

Here's my advice. Buy a good used Gen II Volt Premier instead.
With an honest 50 miles of range most commutes will be all electric. Mine total 12,000 miles annually without burning a drop of gas.
And if need be, you can go cross country at 40+ mpg without any range anxiety or coordinated stops.
    Savings on Maintenance?
My Volt's annual oil change is so expensive.
With the remaining $30,000 - $50,000 of savings, buy gold or silver.
You will be much better off.

Y is absolutely trouble free, easy to live with, and plenty quiet and comfortable. It is not as smooth around town without the air suspension. Given it is a big purchase, it'd the right thing to schedule a test drive and see if you like it.
Who knows, you may go the other way towards the performance model.

I also 3 times a year go on a road trip that's about 223 miles away with 4 grown adults and 4 bags of golf clubs. I live by a few super chargers maybe 3 miles away. I'm open to all opinions. Millions of people in Europe, are postoning the change to EVs, waiting for Tesla. Streets are very narrow, so people that can afford a Model 3 orY, await a compact model 2(That Elon named Highland) say like VW Golf size, but with driving specs like M3. If the compact car also comes at the half price, that will activate a huge demand, that would exceed all other models comebined, which is the goal in 2023. A refresh of a 5 year old M3, simply cant do that. Elon: In 2023, we will focus on a mindblowing upscaling of production, and not so much on profit. So dont expect any nieche products.
