I used to take my switch+accessories with me everywhere I went. Now I just take my phone and controller. Remote play is freaking awesome. I play everywhere I am, even without wifi, thanks to my unlimited 5G through Verizon. Also runs really nice on my iPhone 13 PM. So thankful I found out about remote play.
I’m so excited about this new update i hope I will be able to play cyberpunk 2077 like this on the go or in another room when the family wants the big tv
@@NYSLLeo it can be up to a half second but since the router is on the other side of my door basically I don’t have much lag. It just makes you have to squint a bit more at times to see some things depending on the game. And I would not recommend it for PVP unless it’s like a racing game or something

@@JDiPaolo98 There’s a few ways to tell if you have the correct controller. If in the middle of the controller around the home button is plastic, it’s a 1st gen controller and won’t have Bluetooth. The obvious if you can connect it wirelessly, chances are it does. Just hold the top button down for a few seconds after the controller is turned on and you should see it on whatever device you have, may have to refresh the list, but usually just pops up. If you know all this/have tried already sorry to waste your time of reading xD Just trying to be helpful.
There’s just one thing that he didn’t add, otherwise great video thankyou it helped. But the thing he didn’t add was that you might have to update you controller. It’s really simple to do and the instructions basically walk you though it, but yeah I just thought I’d put that in there.

For iPhone go to Settings > Xbox App > make sure “Local Network” is turned on.. also make sure “remote play” is enabled in your device setting on the Xbox. It should connect automatically after that..
I am already having a little problem of me pressing the “select button” on my controller and it takes an automatic screenshot. Is there a way to remove that?
same with me... every time I press the left menu button (the button with 2 squares on it) , it just takes a screenshot, so it does not open the menu. (example: in GTA5 - that button should open the left menu where you could check ammo and snacks)
@@luek The problem with that is, in the game Gta5 that button is used for 2 things. #1 press quick for camera angle changes #2 press and hold for in-game menu

Does this work when your not at home around your game? That’s only time it works for me when I’m around my system yet my friend who has an android he took a 4hr drive and used remote play he left his system at home and it worked perfectly fine for him

The console and your phone needs to have the same wifi connection otherwise it won’t work so if your using hotspot disconnect it
